More than 530 Polish tourists "first visited" Khanh Hoa at the beginning of the year

(To Quoc) - Over 530 Polish tourists arrived in Khanh Hoa on the first flight from Europe in the Year of the Snake, marking a positive sign for the tourism industry of the land of agarwood.

At approximately 12 PM on January 29th (the first day of the Lunar New Year 2025), over 530 Polish tourists on SkyUp Airlines flight U52297 landed at Cam Ranh International Airport. This was the first flight bringing tourists from Europe to Khanh Hoa during the Lunar New Year holiday.

Immediately after landing, the plane was greeted with a water cannon salute. Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dinh Van Thieu, along with representatives from several departments, agencies, localities, and tourism businesses in Khanh Hoa province, presented flowers, gifts, and lucky red envelopes to the passengers on the flight.

The event was brief but left many unforgettable memories for tourists in a joyful and vibrant atmosphere. According to the plan, the tourist group will stay for 10 days at resorts in Nha Trang City and Bai Dai area (Cam Lam district). Tourists will also experience city tours, Nha Trang Bay tours, and various water sports activities.

Europe, including Poland, is considered a potential tourist market for Khanh Hoa province, having sent over 181,000 visitors in 2024 (out of a total of over 4.7 million international visitors). Anex Vietnam Trading and Tourism Company Limited is currently actively exploiting the international market from Poland to Khanh Hoa with a frequency of 3 flights per month; each flight carrying over 500 passengers.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Thanh, Director of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Tourism, said that through the event of welcoming the first flight from Europe to the locality during the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Snake, the tourism industry wants to send a message that Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa is always a friendly and hospitable destination, and in the future, it will attract more tourist markets from Europe.

Entering 2025, Khanh Hoa's tourism industry aims to welcome 11.8 million tourists, including 6.6 million domestic tourists and 5.2 million international tourists, with tourism revenue reaching 60,000 billion VND.

In 2024, the total number of overnight visitors to Khanh Hoa is estimated to reach over 10.8 million, an increase of 49.03% compared to the same period, exceeding the plan by 20.6%. Of this total, international visitors are estimated at over 4.7 million, an increase of 98.76% compared to the same period, exceeding the plan by 58.9%; domestic visitors are estimated at nearly 6.1 million, an increase of 24.62% compared to the same period, exceeding the plan by 1.5%.

Total tourism revenue is estimated at over 53 trillion VND, an increase of 56.47% compared to the same period last year, exceeding the plan by 32.5%.
