On the evening of July 28th, Huong Tram returned to Ho Chi Minh City after a 5-year absence, in a live show titled "Sweet Home ". Over the past year, she has performed in Hanoi , Tam Dao, Vinh, Da Lat... and now Ho Chi Minh City with the message of returning home.

"My destiny to be a singer was right. There were times when I took a break, but now is the time to return and serve everyone," Huong Tram shared with the audience in Ho Chi Minh City.

I used to be afraid to go back because of the storms.

Huong Tram didn't spend too much time sharing her feelings during the performance. 28-7. She spoke just enough, not mentioning specifics about the past but only using metaphors and similes.

In fact, Huong Tram returned to the Vietnamese music scene in April of this year, releasing the music video "Only You Go Away" from her EP "Sweet Home," which carries many personal messages.

Even before that, while still in the US, she released the music video and EP Lalala, performing under the stage name Charmy Pham.

Since returning to Vietnam, Huong Tram has resumed using her familiar stage name.

She performed in many shows, including live shows (such as River Flows in You and Sweet Home, as well as individual shows), bringing familiar hit songs to the audience.

During the Sweet Home concert, Huong Tram freely showcased her live singing abilities with nearly 20 songs.

Her voice has maintained the quality of one of the most highly regarded female singers of the late 1990s generation (she was born in 1995).

The most enthusiastically received songs were still the big hits like "Em gái mưa," "Duyên mình lỡ," "Ngốc," "Cho em gần anh thêm chút nữa," "Ngại ngùng," "Cánh hoa tàn," and "Gửi anh và cô ấy..."

Huong Tram also sang new songs such as Sweet Home, What's There to Fear When We're in Love, We're Still Not Back from Being Weak, Only You're Going Far Away...

She confided to the audience: "Peace came to me very late. Since I was 16, I've been here, far from my family, and everything just swept me away. When I paused my work, that's when I found peace in my heart."

There were moments when I was afraid to return, afraid of the stormy days, the strong winds that would come again, and that I wouldn't be able to withstand them. But then I decided I had to come back, back to the audience who had always waited for me."

The song "Weakness Hasn't Returned Yet" expresses Huong Tram's feelings. The lyrics offer her comfort: "Don't worry, after the rain/ The clouds will disperse and love will open its doors once again."

Huong Tram is more than just "Rainy Girl".

Huong Tram opened the show with three big hits: "Shyness," "Rainy Girl," and "Let Me Be Closer to You."

Despite recently being criticized for struggling to escape the shadow of "Em gái mưa" (Rainy Girl), she still confidently performs this song with great passion because it represents a proud milestone in her career.

Released six years ago, "Em gái mưa" (Rainy Girl) has a music video with 156 million views, but this number doesn't fully reflect the song's viral success. The melody and lyrics spread widely on social media. A film of the same name was also produced to capitalize on the song's popularity.

Not only with "Em gái mưa" (Rainy Girl) , Huong Tram's name is also associated with many other ballad songs, which led her to want to build a more sensual and rebellious image. This image hasn't been successful and hasn't been as memorable.

At the end of the show, when performing the song "Ra là em đâu quá mong manh" with a group of dancers, choreography, and "sexier" costumes, Huong Tram was delighted to receive cheers and applause from the audience.

She said, "You not only love Huong Tram for her ballads, but you also love Huong Tram for her many other images."

Then, due to overwhelming audience demand, she went straight down to the audience seats and joined them in singing her hit song "Ngốc" (Foolish) with a more upbeat arrangement.

Hundreds of spectators, some standing, some seated, but all dancing along to the atmosphere.

Huong Tram will still face challenges in reinventing her music , but with her vocal talent and existing hit songs, she always has a loyal fan base ready to support her every step of the way.
