Speaking at the launching ceremony, Standing Vice Chairman of Phuc Tho District People's Committee Kieu Trong Sy said that the theme of the National Digital Transformation Day 2024 is "Popularizing digital infrastructure and creating digital applications to develop the digital economy : A new driving force for economic growth and labor productivity".
The series of activities, spanning from October 2024 to January 2025, focuses on disseminating information, providing guidance, and supporting citizens and businesses in applying digital platforms and online services. The goal is to successfully implement the digital transformation tasks assigned by Hanoi City in 2024, in response to the National Digital Transformation Day and Hanoi City Digital Transformation Day.
To achieve significant results in digital transformation in Phuc Tho district and fulfill the targets and tasks for 2024, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Phuc Tho District People's Committee, Kieu Trong Sy, requested that agencies, units, the People's Committees of communes and towns, villages, residential areas, and community digital transformation groups strengthen propaganda efforts and actively implement the targets and tasks related to digital transformation.
Representatives from Phuc Tho district also suggested promoting the pioneering and volunteer role of the Youth Union, the responsible role of community digital transformation teams in the area; and disseminating information and guiding the people to gradually change their perceptions and respond to digital transformation activities.
Actively coordinate with relevant units to encourage businesses to install QR codes for cashless payments; promote online shopping and online payments; disseminate information and support people in installing and using digital products and services, and making digital payments; provide guidance on safety skills in the digital environment...
On this occasion, the People's Committee of Phuc Tho district launched the "Cashless Payment Market" model at Bun Market (Phung Thuong commune), aiming to create conditions for traders and people to exchange and buy/sell all goods using cashless payment methods such as scanning QR codes or transferring money via e-commerce applications or internet banking accounts when conducting transactions.
The implementation of this model also aims to innovate and promote digital transformation and the application of information technology in Phuc Tho district in business activities, buying, selling, and cashless payments at Bun Market in particular, and throughout the district in general, in the coming time.
