According to observations by the Industry and Trade Newspaper at Co.opmart supermarket in Hanoi, customers highly appreciate Son La plums for their sweetness, crispness, and aroma; their bright red color is truly representative of plums from the Northwest mountainous region. This is the result of the meticulous preparation process, from warehousing and transportation to preservation and distribution, that Saigon Co.op has undertaken for Vietnamese agricultural products in general, and Son La plums in particular.
According to Saigon Co.op's leadership, Co.opmart and Co.opXtra are also introducing agricultural products and OCOP (One Commune One Product) items from Son La province on this occasion, such as longan, yellow passion fruit, coffee, tea, dried longan, black garlic, vermicelli, smoked buffalo/pork, cham cheo (a type of dipping sauce), dried bamboo shoots, and reishi mushrooms…
"Expanding the supply chain to the Northwest provinces helps to diversify the range of goods in Saigon Co.op's system, ensuring a sustainable supply and competitive prices so that mountain specialties can reach customers more easily," said a Saigon Co.op leader.
