On the morning of December 11th, at the Thanh Vinh Ward Conference Center, the 18th term of the Nghe An Provincial People's Council, 2021-2026, opened its 35th session - the last regular session of 2025.

The session, held over two days (December 11-12), focused on evaluating the results of socio- economic development and national defense and security in 2025 and the 2021-2025 period; deciding on targets, tasks, and solutions for 2026; and reviewing the socio-economic development plan for the 2026-2030 period.
According to the agenda, the Nghe An Provincial People's Council will consider 32 reports, discuss and vote on 44 draft resolutions; conduct personnel work including electing the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, dismissing and electing additional members of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term. The questioning session will focus on two groups of issues: the effectiveness of state management in responding to and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters and the digital transformation work in state agencies.

In his opening remarks, Chairman of the Nghe An Provincial People's Council Hoang Nghia Hieu emphasized the significant importance of the session, given the large volume of work and numerous issues directly impacting people's lives. He urged delegates to uphold a high sense of responsibility, carefully study the documents, actively participate in discussions, ask questions, and contribute opinions to ensure that decisions are practical and in accordance with the law. He also requested that leaders of agencies, units, and localities attend the meeting in full and contribute to its agenda.
