Exhibition and introduction of safe agricultural and food products from Thanh Hoa in 2025.

On the morning of December 11th, Thanh Hoa province inaugurated an exhibition area showcasing safe agricultural products and food for 2025, featuring nearly 300 booths from within and outside the province.

Nearly 300 booths participated in the exhibition.

Starting today, at Lam Son Square (Hac Thanh Ward), the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa Province is holding the opening ceremony of the "Exhibition and Introduction of Safe Agricultural Products and Food of Thanh Hoa Province in 2025".

Attending the opening ceremony were Mr. Cao Van Cuong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives from departments, agencies, communes, and wards in the province and neighboring provinces; and businesses, cooperatives, and farms from within and outside the province.

The Thanh Hoa province's agricultural and food product exhibition in 2025 will feature nearly 300 standard booths, an increase of 40 booths compared to 2024. These include 40 booths from 38 communes and wards; 4 booths from industry associations; 158 booths from businesses and cooperatives within the province; and 78 booths from businesses and organizations from other provinces.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Cao Van Cuong emphasized that the Conference on Supply-Demand Connection, combined with the exhibition and introduction of safe agricultural products and food from Thanh Hoa province, is an important event for the agricultural sector and has been held annually since 2014.

"This is an opportunity to promote connections between agricultural production facilities and food consumption facilities inside and outside the province; to form safe agricultural and food supply and consumption chains that meet the needs of the people; and to contribute to improving the efficiency of agricultural production and building the province's agricultural product brand. At the same time, the event is an opportunity to introduce and promote the image of Thanh Hoa's land and people, the province's agricultural achievements, and contribute to promoting investment and enhancing the value of agricultural products," Mr. Cuong said.

Elevating the quality of Thanh Hoa's agricultural products.

In 2025, the promotion and dissemination of information about the production and processing of safe agricultural products and food in the province will be strongly promoted by all levels, sectors, organizations, and localities, in conjunction with the implementation of the political tasks of each unit. Specifically, at the 2024 Conference on Connecting Supply and Demand of Safe Agricultural Products and Food, 20 businesses signed 10 contracts for the supply and consumption of agricultural products.

In 2025, the entire province established and maintained 87 safe food supply chains, providing 669,407 tons of food for consumption, mainly serving the people in the province (including: 378,765 tons of rice; 138,419 tons of vegetables; 88,348 tons of livestock and poultry meat; and 63,875 tons of seafood).

Safe food supply chains have helped to effectively control each stage and the entire process of creating quality products, ensuring food safety; creating close links between establishments participating in the production chain, increasing the efficiency and responsibility of each establishment in ensuring product quality. At the same time, it has fostered the development of cooperatives, partnerships, and farms linked to processing, manufacturing, trading, and distribution channels.

In addition, the province has approximately 600 businesses, cooperatives, and establishments producing, processing, and trading agricultural products, food, and OCOP products that are maintaining promotion, introduction, and sales on e-commerce platforms such as voso.vn, posmart.vn, Lazada, Shopee, Tiki, etc., with thousands of products of various types.

At the conference, delegates reviewed the overall results of agricultural and food production, consumption, and supply-demand connections in the province in 2025. Discussions focused on sharing experiences in distributing safe agricultural and food products in the market. Several suggestions were made to develop production, consumption, and promote supply-demand connections for agricultural and food products in the future.

Concluding the conference, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Cao Van Cuong stated the current situation: "Currently, only about 30% of agricultural and food products in the province are distributed through a system linking production and consumption along the value chain; the rest are mainly consumed through traditional markets, shops, and small-scale food and agricultural product businesses. Producers remain passive in production, lack market information, and are not closely linked with businesses along the value chain, leading to the situation of 'bumper harvest, falling prices'."

Mr. Cuong assessed that the delegates' contributions were an important source of information to help the leaders of Thanh Hoa province and other provinces and cities develop agricultural development plans for the future. At the same time, they helped businesses and cooperatives orient their production and business plans to achieve the highest efficiency.

Through the conference, businesses have the opportunity to sign joint venture and cooperation agreements in the production and trading of agricultural products; improve production and business efficiency; and contribute to building the province's agricultural sector into a high-value-added commodity production sector, contributing to socio-economic development.

To further build upon achievements, overcome shortcomings and limitations, and promote the development of agricultural production along the value chain; connecting production facilities with consumption facilities within and outside the province, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Cao Van Cuong requested that departments, localities, and production and business establishments in the province effectively implement policies and guidelines on agricultural development, farmers, and rural areas; in conjunction with the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 20th Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030, with the motto "Unity - Discipline - Responsibility - Creativity - Development".

At the conference, businesses and cooperatives signed 10 contracts for the supply and consumption of safe agricultural products and food. Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Cao Van Cuong and the Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment presented Certificates of Commendation from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to 5 collectives and 10 individuals for their outstanding achievements in connecting the supply and demand of agricultural products and food in 2024-2025.
