Opening of the 2024 “Tang Hua Tea Festival”

NDO - On October 26, at the tea hill in village 8, Quang Long commune, Hai Ha district, Quang Ninh province, the "Flower Tea Festival" 2024 officially took place.


The 2024 Duong Hoa Tea Festival is organized at the district level with many unique contents. With the green natural space of the vast tea hills, visitors not only enjoy the beautiful landscape but also have the opportunity to learn about the development history of Duong Hoa tea - a brand with a history of more than 60 years, highly appreciated and becoming a famous OCOP product of Quang Ninh.

The highlight of the festival is the rituals such as: carrying water from the source, carrying ancient tea trees, and watering the tea trees to “revive”. These are all symbolic activities, expressing the honor, respect and preservation of traditional tea trees.

In particular, the ceremony of handing over tea seedlings to the younger generation demonstrates the determination to preserve the quintessence and foster the sustainable development of the Hai Ha tea region, constantly affirming the quality, brand and position of Duong Hoa tea in the domestic and foreign markets, and at the same time affirming the sustainable development of the Hai Ha tea region.

The green tea hills are always a check-in spot for many tourists.

Within the framework of the festival, there are special art programs to introduce and promote the history, culture, land and people of Hai Ha district, the formation and development of the tea growing area and the Duong Hoa tea brand, along with tea making art performances and Ao Dai costumes.

In particular, the festival took place vibrantly with many attractive cultural and sports activities such as: Cycling race to experience exploring the tea hills and Truc Bai Son lake; group running around the tea hills; folk dance performances on the tea fields; sports activities such as volleyball, tug of war, stick pushing...; opening of the exhibition space, introducing tea products and OCOP products, local cuisine; beautiful photo exhibition about Hai Ha; final round of the 2nd Hai Ha District Voice Contest in 2024.

Visitors coming here will experience and enjoy tea picking competitions, traditional handmade tea roasting competitions, food and drink preparation competitions with tea flavors...

The Festival Organizing Committee has arranged many areas for visitors to take souvenir photos when coming to the Festival.

The 2024 Duong Hoa Tea Festival aims to promote and introduce Duong Hoa tea products as well as the more than 60-year history of formation and development of Hai Ha tea region to a large number of domestic and foreign tourists, contributing to enhancing the value and brand of Duong Hoa tea products, one of the typical and unique products of Hai Ha district, promoting the attraction of businesses to invest in the field of tea production and processing, while continuing to promote the potential advantages of nature, culture and people of the district in tourism development.
