On the morning of December 21, at Dong Du Secondary and High School (Buon Ma Thuot City), the Dak Lak Departmentof Education and Training held the opening ceremony of the 2nd Dak Lak Provincial High School STEM Festival - 2024.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the festival, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, Director of the Department of Education and Training Le Thi Thanh Xuan said that STEM education is an educational method that aims to equip students with scientific knowledge associated with practical applications. The content of the STEM-themed lessons is associated with the relatively complete solution of a problem, in which students are organized to participate in learning actively, proactively and know how to apply the knowledge they have just learned to solve the problem; thereby contributing to the formation of qualities and abilities for students.

In recent times, the provincial Department of Education and Training has actively directed schools to effectively implement STEM Education in general schools. Educational activities have promoted innovation in teaching methods and forms and the organization of educational activities in schools, contributing to the effective implementation of the goals of the 2018 General Education Program.
Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, Director of the Department of Education and Training Le Thi Thanh Xuan delivered the opening speech of the Festival.
The 2nd Dak Lak Province High School STEM Festival - 2024 has the participation of 112 typical projects of 117 instructors and 284 students, the projects were selected from STEM activities of 55 high schools across the province. This is not only the achievement of the students but also a testament to the dedicated investment of teachers and the deep concern of schools.

The 2nd High School STEM Festival in Dak Lak Province in 2023 has the theme "STEM Education - Creative Journey" with main activities including: organizing 2 teaching periods on STEM topics; displaying and introducing STEM products; organizing a STEM education workshop; organizing a Water-powered Car Competition...
Through practical activities during the Festival, we aim to affirm the strong development of STEM education in schools, contributing to arousing the passion for creativity and scientific thinking ability of students in the province.
