The conference was held in the context of the entire Party, people, and army striving to achieve outstanding results to welcome the 14th National Congress of the Party. This was an opportunity for Vietnamese youth to express their feelings, beliefs, responsibilities, and aspirations to contribute to the Party, the Fatherland, and the People.
The conference was held in a hybrid format, with a central hub in Hanoi and approximately 4088 online connection points. A total of about 80,849 delegates attended, including officials from the Youth Union, Youth Association, and Young Pioneers Organization, young intellectuals, young entrepreneurs, artists, students, and outstanding young people from both within and outside the country.
The conference was chaired by Bui Quang Huy, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and First Secretary of the Central Executive Committee of the Youth Union, and Nguyen Pham Duy Trang, Chairman of the Central Council of the Young Pioneers.
In her opening remarks at the conference, Comrade Nguyen Pham Duy Trang, Chairman of the Central Youth Union Council, stated that, recognizing the importance and significance of the Party congresses at all levels, leading up to the 14th National Congress of the Party (based on the guidance of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, from the end of 2024 and the beginning of 2025), the Secretariat and the Standing Committee of the Central Youth Union have issued many plans and documents directing propaganda work, organizing activities to celebrate the Congress, monitoring the situation of Youth Union members and young people regarding the Party congresses at all levels, and contributing to the draft documents of the 14th National Congress of the Party.
The participation of the Youth Union at all levels in providing feedback on the Party's 14th National Congress documents, linked to the process of providing feedback on Party congress documents at the grassroots, higher-level, and provincial levels, has been implemented by Youth Union branches with diverse and creative approaches. Initial monitoring and summaries show that 100% of grassroots, district-level, and provincial-level Youth Union branches have developed plans and organized activities to contribute opinions to the Party's 14th National Congress documents; the feedback from young people nationwide has been highly appreciated by Party committees at all levels; many opinions are heartfelt, frank, direct, and objective. These initial results have created and are continuing to create a widespread political activity among young people nationwide, practically celebrating the Party's 14th National Congress.

Delegates attending the Conference of Key Cadres of the Youth Union, Youth Association, and Young Pioneers Organization, as well as outstanding young people both domestically and internationally, contributed their opinions on the draft documents to be submitted to the 14th National Congress of the Party.
“In the coming period, when the documents are sent out for public consultation through mass media, the Central Secretariat of the Youth Union will continue to direct all levels of the Youth Union and press agencies to strengthen propaganda and synthesize feedback on the draft documents. Based on this, a comprehensive report will be compiled and submitted to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Document Subcommittee, and the Party building committees,” Comrade Nguyen Pham Duy Trang emphasized.
At the conference, many opinions suggested that the XIV National Congress Document should clarify the viewpoint of "development based on knowledge, talent, and core technologies," emphasizing the role of the younger generation in the process of industrialization, modernization, and international integration, while affirming that youth are the creative subjects and leading forces in innovation, digital transformation, and the development of a knowledge-based economy. At the same time, it is necessary to elevate the development mindset, shifting from a growth model based on resource exploitation and cheap labor to a development model based on science and technology, high-quality human resources, and innovative capacity.
Furthermore, it is necessary to continue focusing on building and implementing green development strategies, circular economy, and low-carbon economy, ensuring harmony between economic development, social progress, and environmental protection; promoting youth participation in green energy transition, biodiversity conservation, and the development of ecological agriculture and sustainable rural areas.
Furthermore, there was a consensus that, to achieve rapid and sustainable development, science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation are key factors. It was proposed that the XIV National Congress document clearly state the policy of developing key areas such as artificial intelligence, big data, biotechnology, clean energy, and semiconductors, while simultaneously strengthening investment in research infrastructure, connecting universities, research institutes, and businesses, and promoting international cooperation. Young people and young intellectuals should be considered the vanguard force in the national digital transformation, given opportunities to create, research, experiment, and deploy new technological products to serve socio-economic development.

Many opinions suggested that the document should include content on developing a national strategy for identifying, nurturing, and utilizing talent, considering this a key interdisciplinary, continuous, and long-term program. Talent should be recognized not only in academia but in all areas of social life, from scientific research to management, production, art, entrepreneurship, and culture. There needs to be a specific, transparent, and internationally competitive incentive mechanism that encourages bold thinking, action, and responsibility; creating an open and creative environment that protects those who dare to innovate. At the same time, it is necessary to build a global network of Vietnamese intellectuals, connecting experts both domestically and internationally, and creating flexible mechanisms for overseas Vietnamese intellectuals to contribute to the country both directly and remotely…
In particular, many additional proposals clarify the meaning of "socialist democracy in the digital age" - considering it a new form of people's self-governance, where citizens, especially young people, are empowered to create and critique through the digital space. Along with this, it is necessary to accelerate digital transformation in mass mobilization work, enhance the effectiveness of social supervision and criticism, and strengthen trust and the close relationship between the Party and the people.
Simultaneously, specific mechanisms should be in place to enable young people to participate in providing feedback, monitoring, and critically evaluating policies; empowering them, assigning tasks, and evaluating their performance based on practical results should be considered methods for training and nurturing young cadres. Alongside this, it is necessary to strengthen political and ideological education, ethics, and lifestyle, enhance political acumen and the spirit of serving the nation among the younger generation, ensuring democracy is coupled with discipline, responsibility, and loyalty to the Party's ideals.
In his concluding remarks at the conference, Comrade Bui Quang Huy, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and First Secretary of the Central Executive Committee of the Youth Union, acknowledged the serious, expeditious, responsible, and enthusiastic work of the delegates. According to Comrade Bui Quang Huy, all opinions unanimously highly appreciated the quality, scientific rigor, and strategic vision of the Draft Documents submitted to the 14th National Congress, reflecting the courage, wisdom, steadfastness, and innovative thinking of our Party. Many delegates affirmed that the Documents profoundly summarized the achievements of the 13th term, while clearly defining the direction of national development for the period 2026-2030, with a vision to 2045, aiming to build a prosperous and happy Vietnam with an increasingly prominent position in the international arena.
From the lively, frank, responsible, and passionate discussions of the delegates at the Conference, it is evident that Vietnamese youth have seriously studied, deeply understood, and clearly demonstrated their spirit of accompanying the Party in perfecting the Draft Documents to be submitted to the 14th National Congress. The contributions were expressed from many different perspectives, but all unanimously aimed at a common goal: to build documents that truly embody the wisdom, will, and aspirations for development of the entire nation…
From the presentations, speeches, and discussions, it can be affirmed that Vietnamese youth are the vanguard force of the revolution, the reliable reserve of the Party, and the creative subjects of socialist democracy in the digital age. This is not only an affirmation of the position of the younger generation, but also a strong political commitment regarding the role and responsibility of youth in the process of renovation, construction, and defense of the Fatherland…
