Rewarding 2 students who won high prizes in the 2025 International Artificial Intelligence Olympiad

DNO - On the afternoon of September 5, the City People's Committee commended and rewarded students and teachers for their achievements at the 2025 International Artificial Intelligence Olympiad.

Attending the event were: Alternate Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Committee Luong Nguyen Minh Triet; Vice Chairman of the City People's Council Doan Ngoc Hung Anh; Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Anh Tuan; and Director of the Department of Education and Training Le Thi Bich Thuan.

Reporting at the awards ceremony, the Director of the City's Department of Education and Training, Le Thi Bich Thuan, stated that in the 2024-2025 school year, the entire sector effectively implemented emulation movements; promoted the application of information technology in management and teaching activities; strengthened measures to reduce the rate of weak and dropout students, and increase the rate of good and excellent students; and focused on the selection, training, and development of gifted and talented students.

As a result, the quality of education across all disciplines and levels has been maintained; outstanding students at the city and national levels continue to achieve good results. Besides achievements in national-level competitions such as the gifted student selection exam, the science and technology research competition, the young informatics competition, and the UPU International Letter Writing Competition, students from the city have been selected by the Ministry of Education and Training to participate in and achieve high results in international competitions.

Notably, Huynh Huy Hung and Nguyen Nhat Tuan Kiet, from class 12A4, won second prize at the International Science and Engineering Fair in the United States.

Tran Quang Nhat, a student in class 12A2, along with twin brothers Nguyen Tri Hien and Nguyen Tri Hau, both in class 11 at Nguyen Binh Khiem Specialized High School (formerly Quang Nam province), won Gold Medals at the second International Mathematical Olympiad held in Turkmenistan.

Cap Kim Hoang Bao, a student in class 11A3 at Le Quy Don High School for Gifted Students, won a Bronze Medal at the European Physics Olympiad held in Bulgaria.

Nguyen Phu Nhan won a Gold Medal and Hoang Cong Bao Long won a Bronze Medal at the 2025 International Artificial Intelligence Olympiad, held in Beijing, China from August 2nd to 9th, 2025. Both students are from class 11A5, Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted.

Speaking at the awards ceremony, Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City, Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, praised the students who won prizes at the 2025 International Artificial Intelligence Olympiad. Their achievements have contributed to affirming the capabilities, intelligence, and prowess of the young generation of Vietnam in the field of cutting-edge technology today.

The Chairman of the City People's Committee emphasized that these outstanding achievements were primarily due to the efforts of the students themselves, the contributions of the school, and the dedicated and creative efforts of the teachers throughout the teaching, training, and guidance of the students in the team, and in taking the team to compete abroad.

This is coupled with timely attention, encouragement, and support from parents, organizations, and units throughout the learning process. City leaders acknowledge and highly appreciate the innovations of the city's education sector in directing the selection, training, and coaching of students, contributing to improving the performance of city teams in national and international competitions.

The Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City congratulated the outstanding achievements of the students and teachers, as well as the responsible and effective contributions of families and organizations that have contributed to this proud achievement, helping to enhance the position of Da Nang City in particular and Vietnam in general on the world knowledge map, while also inspiring a passion for learning, research, and creativity in the younger generation.

According to the Chairman of the People's Committee of the city, humanity is entering the "Fourth Industrial Revolution" with unprecedented changes, requiring a workforce that can adapt flexibly. The country and the city urgently need and expect the younger generation, those with the courage and talent to lead the country into a new era.

City leaders always expect and are committed to creating all the necessary conditions for students to continue to assert themselves at new heights of knowledge, while also demonstrating their love for their homeland and responsibility to the community.

Previously, the city also held an awards ceremony to honor students Huynh Huy Hung, Nguyen Nhat Tuan Kiet, Tran Quang Nhat, Nguyen Tri Hien, Nguyen Tri Hau, Cap Kim Hoang Bao, and the teachers who participated in their training.
