The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has just announced the launch of the first "Charming Women of Binh Thuan" contest in 2023, targeting female Vietnamese citizens aged 18-30 (born between 1993 and 2005) who are residing, studying, working, or living in Binh Thuan province.
According to the competition rules, contestants must be unmarried female citizens who have not registered their marriage and have not given birth (contestants who have held a traditional wedding ceremony but have not registered their marriage are also not eligible to participate); height must be 1.65m or taller; possess natural beauty; have not undergone any cosmetic surgery on the face or body, or gender reassignment; have graduated from high school or higher; have no criminal record, are not currently under criminal investigation, or are not serving any administrative disciplinary action.
Regarding the application process, contestants must submit their application to the Organizing Committee, including: an application form (attached by the Organizing Committee), with confirmation from their workplace or local government where they reside; a photocopy of their citizen identification card (or birth certificate); two 4x6 passport-sized photos; two 10x15 color portrait photos; two 10x15 full-body photos (taken within the last three months, without any digital editing); and a contact phone number (using the Zalo application). Note: Application documents will not be returned once submitted to the Organizing Committee.
Registration is open from now until October 15, 2023. The preliminary round will take place from October 25th to 29th at HN Group Trading and Service Co., Ltd. (364 Tran Hung Dao, Phan Thiet, Binh Thuan). Contestants will compete in two parts: a self-selected costume presentation and a self-introduction. Based on the judges' scores, the organizers will select the 40 contestants with the highest scores (from top to bottom) to participate in the semi-final round.
The semi-final round will take place from November 24th to 25th at Nguyen Tat Thanh Street, Binh Hung Ward, Phan Thiet City, Binh Thuan Province. Contestants will compete in two parts: a traditional Vietnamese dress (áo dài) performance and a talent show (contestants can choose one of the following categories: singing, dancing, instrumental solo, mime, storytelling, poetry recitation, dance sport, martial arts performance...). Each contestant will have 5-7 minutes to perform their talent. Based on the judges' scores, the organizers will select the top 20 contestants (from highest to lowest) to participate in the final round. Depending on the actual situation, the organizers may select fewer or more than 20 contestants for the final round.
The final round took place on December 31st at Nguyen Tat Thanh Street, Binh Hung Ward, Phan Thiet City, Binh Thuan Province. Contestants competed in three parts: Swimsuit presentation: Contestants showcased their swimwear.
The Organizing Committee will select the top 10 contestants with the highest scores to advance to the Top 10. Evening Gown Presentation: The top 10 contestants will participate in an evening gown presentation. The Organizing Committee will then select the top 5 contestants with the highest scores to advance to the Top 5. Q&A Session: The top 5 contestants will participate in a Q&A session. Contestants will draw lots to answer questions from the Organizing Committee. The time allotted for thinking and answering is 3-5 minutes. In addition, the Organizing Committee has other regulations, such as requiring contestants to comply with the organizational and professional requirements set by the Organizing Committee. Before participating in the competition, contestants must carefully read the rules and regulations of the Organizing Committee. Participation in the competition is considered as automatic acceptance of the regulations, decisions, and rules of the Organizing Committee. When participating in the competition, contestants must wear beautiful attire and are not allowed to wear clothing with printed logos, product brands, or foreign language text. The Organizing Committee reserves the right to disqualify any contestant if their behavior, statements, or personal issues regarding ethics or lifestyle negatively impact or harm the reputation of the competition.
The Organizing Committee may amend or supplement the regulations and rules to suit the actual situation of organizing the Competition. The Organizing Committee will also consider revoking titles awarded to contestants who have won prizes in the Competition if it is discovered that the contestants have violated the regulations in Government Decree 144/2020/ND-C dated December 14, 2020, on performing arts activities.
The competition's prize structure includes: Individual prizes (Top 10): 1st Prize - Miss; 2nd Prize - First Runner-up; 2 3rd Prizes - Joint 2nd Runner-up; 6 Consolation Prizes. Special prizes: 1 "Best Ao Dai" Award - Miss Ao Dai; 1 "Best Evening Gown" Award - Miss Evening Gown; 1 "Best Swimsuit" Award - Miss Swimsuit; 1 "Most Impressive Talent" Award - Miss Talent; 1 "Most Impressive Catwalk Performance" Award - Miss Catwalk; 1 "Most Popular Contestant" Award - Miss Popularity (most voted for by the audience on the Binh Thuan Women's Beauty Contest Fanpage).
