From the cooperation of the people

In early 2023, Na Hang district still had 2 villages without concrete roads leading to the village, namely Trung Phin village, Sinh Long commune and Tat Ke village, Khau Tinh commune. Because these villages are far from the commune center, building roads to the village requires a large amount of money. Along with that, the awareness of some people is not high, so the concreting of the roads is facing many difficulties. From the resettlement capital and combining other capital sources, Na Hang has opened and concretized this road.

Comrade Ban Doan Quan, Secretary of Tat Ke Party Cell, said that the village has 32 households, 80% of whom are Tay ethnic. The road from the commune to the village was widened to 5 meters, requiring the recovery of more than 8,000 square meters of land from the people. Some households, due to low awareness, did not agree to donate land for road construction. Therefore, road construction in Tat Ke encountered many difficulties.

“Some people listened immediately, others hesitated because it was a pity to give away hundreds of meters of land for free. After many village meetings were held to promote the benefits of having a new concrete road, the villagers understood, and each person proactively donated several hundred meters of land,” Mr. Quan said.

People of Thanh Tuong commune (Na Hang) contributed to building roads.

In a short time, more than 12 km of concrete road in Tat Ke village was completed. The roads lead to the high mountains where there are forests and green fruit gardens waiting for traders to bring their cars to buy. A prosperous life is full of promise.

The Na Con - Bung Xeng road in Tho Binh commune (Lam Binh) was only 2 meters wide before. When there was a plan to widen the road, the people of Ban Puoc and Na Con unanimously removed the fence, cut down trees, and gave up their land.

One of the pioneers who voluntarily donated their property to open the road was Mr. Ma Ngoc Truong, from Na Con village. Mr. Truong said that building the road was to serve his family and the people in the village and commune more conveniently. Therefore, when the policy was introduced, he immediately agreed. His family voluntarily donated more than 1,000 square meters of land for perennial crops and demolished two solidly built pig and buffalo pens.

Not only Mr. Truong's family, 35 households in Na Con village, Ban Puoc also sacrificed their interests and properties so that the village could have a beautiful road. To build the Na Con - Bung Xeng road, people donated nearly 5,000 square meters of residential land and destroyed thousands of fruit trees and perennial trees. The new road is bringing new vitality and a new look to the highland commune of Lam Binh.

...to the change of the village

In recent years, the most obvious change in the highland districts is the expansion of roads. The strong development of transport infrastructure has opened up economic and social innovations. In highland districts such as Na Hang, Lam Binh, Chiem Hoa... most of the communes have asphalt roads leading to the commune. The transport system connecting to the centers of villages and hamlets is also "covered" with solid concrete roads.

In 2023, the more than 500 m long intra-village roads in Ngau 1 village, Hung My commune (Chiem Hoa), which were rough and muddy, were given a new look thanks to the cement support from the province, the consensus of land donation, and the determination of the villagers.

Na Con - Bung Xeng route, Tho Binh commune (Lam Binh) is concreted to help people travel conveniently.

Head of Ngau 1 village, Ma Hong Cuc, could not hide his joy when talking about the role of the road: With the road, people can grow rice, forest, raise pigs and chickens, and transport them to the commune center for sale very conveniently. With the new road, people have more motivation to escape poverty, build a new, improved, prosperous and happy rural village.

Ban Bung village is a particularly difficult area of Thanh Tuong commune (Na Hang). Previously, due to traffic difficulties, people's lives were difficult, production was mainly self-sufficient. Walking on the newly opened concrete road, Mr. Trieu The Hai, Ban Bung village excitedly said: This is the only road from the town leading to the village, thanks to this road, tourists know about Ban Bung. Ban Bung has become a favorite destination for many tourists when coming to Na Hang. People have more income from tourism , the people's lives have also improved.

Ban Bung school has 5 primary school students and 20 preschool students, mainly Dao ethnic minority children. The joy of having a new road is also evident on the faces of teachers and students. Previously, it was very difficult for children to go to class. During the rainy season, the number of children who had to miss school increased, and teachers had to go to each house to mobilize them. Teacher Vi Thi Tuoi, a teacher at Thanh Tuong Boarding Primary and Secondary School, happily said that in 2021, Ban Bung will benefit from the national grid. With electricity, teachers at the school can easily access modern equipment for teaching and learning. It is even happier when the concrete road within the village is invested to lead to the school, helping students to get to class more conveniently.

Thanh Tuong Commune Party Secretary Pham Tien Sy confided: Taking advantage of all resources and mobilizing people to participate, from 2023 to now, the commune has built nearly 700 meters of rural roads to the villages of Na Cooc, Ban Bung, Na Lang, Na Ma, Don Tau, and Co Yeng. Of which, people in the villages donated over 1,000 square meters of land, contributed over 500 million VND and hundreds of working days. In 2024, the commune continued to register to build more than 70 meters of rural roads to Ban Bung. Currently, the commune is continuing to mobilize and propagate people to participate in donating land and contributing to road construction. From there, it opens up opportunities for localities to attract tourists, develop the economy, and contribute to improving people's lives.
