Hanoi : No citizen should be left without access to medical care.
On September 11th, the Hanoi Department of Health issued urgent Official Letter No. 293/SYT-NVY regarding ensuring medical response and addressing the consequences of Typhoon No. 3 (Yagi) to its affiliated units.
Accordingly, the Department of Health requests that the Directors of all units urgently and seriously implement the four-level emergency response plan; strengthen measures to prevent and control diseases, ensure environmental hygiene and food safety in high-risk areas and areas affected by floods.

In addition, the units are preparing sufficient quantities of medicines, chemicals, and medical supplies to respond to potential disease outbreaks and to provide timely emergency care for patients.
“Focus on treating the injured; at the same time, urgently overcome the consequences caused by storm No. 3 at medical facilities, do not interrupt emergency and treatment work for people, do not let people and patients go without medical examination, treatment and medical care,” the Hanoi Department of Health requested.
Closely monitor the development of natural disasters and floods in the area, especially the risk of localized flooding, landslides, flash floods in mountainous areas due to the impact of heavy rain after the storm to proactively deploy timely and effective response work according to the motto "four on-the-spot".
The Department of Health also requested four Grade I hospitals: Thanh Nhan Hospital; Xanh Pon General Hospital; Duc Giang General Hospital; and Ha Dong General Hospital to provide professional support to Grade II general hospitals and health centers in the area.
For severely ill or critically ill patients, consultations with leading specialists are necessary, and Zalo groups should be established between different levels of expertise to ensure timely support, diagnosis, and treatment.
In cases where a critically ill patient requires transfer, based on the patient's condition and weather conditions (rain, flooding, etc.), the unit may transfer the patient to the nearest and most suitable medical facility to ensure the patient's safety.
Regarding the treatment of victims of storms and floods, on September 11th, according to information from Viet Duc Friendship Hospital, in recent days, the hospital has organized an online telemedicine consultation system to support localities affected by rain and floods in providing timely emergency care and treatment to patients.
Accordingly, Dr. Duong Duc Hung, Director of Viet Duc Friendship Hospital, directly supervised the remote emergency consultation, receiving and treating victims from the northern mountainous provinces, including Yen Bai , Lao Cai, Tuyen Quang, and Lang Son, who were buried by flash floods.
