
Currently, SHTP has formed a dynamic high-tech ecosystem, attracting 112 active projects and creating jobs for more than 52,000 workers. The park's export turnover has continuously increased over the years, at times accounting for up to 47% of Ho Chi Minh City's total export turnover, contributing 1.7 billion USD to the state budget.
At the same time, the High-Tech Park has built key infrastructures to serve research and innovation such as: Research and Development Center (R&D Center), Training Center, High-tech Business Incubator, contributing to promoting the commercialization process of "Make in Vietnam" technology products, improving national competitiveness.

Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Nguyen Van Duoc, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, and Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, praised the efforts of the SHTP Management Board and the business community, while also orienting SHTP to continue playing a leading role in digital transformation, innovation, connecting businesses with research and development institutions, contributing to creating momentum for the development of the city's knowledge-based economy and science and technology.
“In the coming period, SHTP needs to select capable and intelligent investors to create added value for Ho Chi Minh City and Vietnam. In addition, it is necessary to consult experienced experts to plan this place to soon become an industrial science city, an industrial science park, to inspire creativity. At the same time, SHTP will soon become an innovation center, which is also the driving force for the city's development in the future,” said Mr. Nguyen Van Duoc.
According to Mr. Nguyen Ky Phung, Secretary of the Party Committee and Head of the SHTP Management Board, in the 2025-2030 period, SHTP will continue to play a pivotal role in the innovation ecosystem, aiming to become an internationally standardized research and development center, contributing to making Ho Chi Minh City a smart city and a technology and innovation hub of Southeast Asia.

On this occasion, the Department of Science and Technology of Ho Chi Minh City announced the Decision approving the SHTP Research and Development Center (SHTP Labs) to be eligible to participate in the Project on building a mechanism to form an internationally standardized research center (CoE) and the Program on building an internationally standardized center on digital transformation - green transformation in Ho Chi Minh City.
SHTP has also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology and the Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, aiming to effectively implement Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation, and national digital transformation in the city.
