New developments at the $4 billion resort: Change of chairman and general director

(Dan Tri) - Mr. Benny Chong, Chairman and CEO of VMS Group, was appointed as Chairman of Nam Hoi An Development Company Limited; Mr. Alan Teo will take on the position of CEO.


VMS Group - the investor of the $4 billion Nam Hoi An resort in Duy Xuyen district, Quang Nam province - recently issued a statement about changing the company's shareholder structure.

VMS Group, which currently owns 75% of Hoi An South Development Company Limited (HASD), said that Mr. Benny Chong, Chairman and CEO of VMS Group, has been appointed as Chairman of HASD.

Steven Wolstenholme, who has served as HASD's President and CEO for the past seven years, will step down from his position when his contract expires.

VMS Group also introduced Mr. Alan Teo, who will take on the position of CEO of HASD. HASD owns and operates Hoiana Resort & Golf, an integrated resort located in Duy Xuyen district, Quang Nam province.

Nam Hoi An Resort was approved for investment by the Prime Minister in February 2009.

In December 2010, the People's Committee of Quang Nam province issued an investment certificate. The project has been certified for adjustment and change 3 times in 2015, 2016 and 2020.

The project is invested about 4 billion USD with a total land area of ​​up to nearly 1,000 hectares, invested by Nam Hoi An Development Company Limited.
