According to the official dispatch sent to the Provincial People's Committee, the Department of Science and Technology of Binh Thuan province said that Da Mi Agricultural Cooperative is a legally established collective organization and has the right to register a collective trademark for its members to use according to the regulations on the use of collective trademarks... Currently, the People's Committee of Ham Thuan Bac district has confirmed the map of the geographical area where the collective trademark of Da Mi Agricultural Cooperative is registered.

In order to create and develop the brand, improve product quality, increase competitiveness and develop production and business for Da Mi durian products in the coming time as well as ensure sufficient components of the collective trademark registration dossier according to the provisions of the Law on Intellectual Property, the competent department therefore recommends to the Provincial People's Committee some related contents. Specifically: Allow Da Mi Agricultural Cooperative to use the place name "Da Mi" as a trademark constituent element to register for collective trademark protection of Da Mi Agricultural Cooperative. At the same time, confirm the map of the collective trademark registration area of Da Mi Agricultural Cooperative, in Da Mi commune, Ham Thuan Bac district.

Previously, in early April 2024, the People's Committee of Ham Thuan Bac district also sent a document requesting the Department of Science and Technology of Binh Thuan to advise the Provincial People's Committee on this issue.
