Timely rescue of excavator driver who had an accident due to landslide in Tra Doc commune

DNO - On the afternoon of October 28, a landslide occurred on Dong Truong Son road (village 2, Tra Doc commune), causing an excavator driver to fall into a deep abyss while clearing rocks and soil blocking the road.

At around 3:20 p.m., Mr. LVT (born in 1983) drove an excavator through an area that had previously shown signs of a slight landslide. Seeing the dirt and rocks continuing to spill onto the road, Mr. T. stopped the vehicle to clean up the area, ensuring the safety of passersby.

However, in a split second, a large piece of earth from the positive slope suddenly collapsed, sweeping the excavator and Mr. T. down the cliff.

Fortunately, the regular force of Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue of Tra Doc commune was on the way to check the landslide sites and was present in time, coordinated with local people to support the rescue, and transferred Mr. T. to the Commune Health Center for first aid.

Initial information shows that Mr. T. was injured in the arms, legs and neck. Currently, Tra Doc commune authorities have temporarily blocked off the landslide area, warned people not to pass through, and continue to monitor and support the victim.
