Two fishermen in distress at sea were rescued in time.

The Cua Tung Border Guard Station and the Cua Viet Port Border Guard Station in Quang Tri province recently coordinated with relevant authorities and local people to promptly rescue and bring a fishing boat and two fishermen in distress at sea safely ashore.

The fishing boat, bearing the registration number of Quang Tri province, has a power of 24CV and a length of 7.05m. It is owned by Mr. Tran Van Tinh (born in 1978) and fisherman Le Van Hai (born in 1974), both residing in Cua Tung commune, Quang Tri province, and is engaged in gillnet fishing.

While the boat was on its way from the sea into Cua Tung estuary, it encountered strong winds and large waves, causing damage to its side, flooding part of it, and putting it at risk of sinking on the southern bank of the estuary.

Upon detection, the Cua Tung Border Guard Station mobilized its forces and organized a rescue operation, promptly bringing the two fishermen on the distressed boat safely ashore.
