Up to now, 71 inspections have been completed in the following areas: financial and accounting management; construction investment management; land management and use... Thereby, over 2.3 billion VND in violations and over 1,400 m² of land were discovered; recommendations were made to recover and pay to the budget over 1.8 billion VND, over 1,400 m² of land and administrative fines for organizations and individuals over 1 billion VND.
In particular, in the first 6 months of 2023, agencies and units in Kon Tum province discovered and handled 3 cases with signs of corruption and negativity. Of which, the Investigation Police Agency prosecuted 1 defendant for corruption occurring at the Kon Plong District Agricultural Service Center (the incident occurred in 2021); prosecuted 1 case, 3 defendants for violating regulations on compensation, support, and resettlement when land acquisition occurred in Hoa Binh commune, Kon Tum city (the incident occurred in 2022); resumed investigation of the case of embezzlement of property and lack of responsibility causing serious consequences occurring at the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Tu Mo Rong District (the incident occurred in 2013).
Currently, the Investigation Police Agency is continuing to investigate 4 cases with signs of corruption, including: The bribery case at the Tax Department of Region 2, Kon Tum province; the case of illegal property auction and lax land management at Ia H'Drai Forestry One Member Co., Ltd.; the case with signs of law violations at the project of exploiting land fund of the villa area north of the center of Kon Plong district; the case of land allocation and issuance of land use right certificates by the People's Committee of Kon Plong district.
