This film holds several records, including: the highest-grossing Vietnamese film in a single day (50 billion VND); and the fastest Vietnamese film to reach 500 billion VND in box office revenue (17 days). Beyond its box office success, "Red Rain" became a social media phenomenon, a much-discussed film, especially among young people. Not only did it create a strong impression and evoke genuine emotions in viewers, but it also motivated young people to learn about the 81-day battle at Quang Tri Citadel , the historical context of the Paris Agreement in particular, and the entire resistance war against the US in general.

Immediately after "Red Rain" surpassed 550 billion VND in revenue, director Dang Thai Huyen stated that she wasn't pressured by the revenue figures, but she did have expectations because revenue is a measure of the film's reach and audience acceptance. The more widely the film is shared, the more it shows that the efforts of the team have been deservedly appreciated.

"Red Rain" has also helped to dispel the notion that "a film's success is only guaranteed if it features beauty queens, runners-up, or A-list stars." In reality, the cast of "Red Rain" consists of relatively new faces in Vietnamese cinema. All the actors perfectly embodied their roles, investing in their performances and giving their all.
