The movement aims not only to support housing but also to foster a spirit of humanity, working together so that all families, especially the poor, near-poor, and those who have contributed to the revolution, can live in safe and decent homes. In Ta Rut commune, a newly merged area from three communes – A Vao, Ta Rut, and Huc Nghi – the movement has quickly spread. The entire political system has joined in, the people understand the policy, trust it, and actively participate, and agencies, units, and businesses have also provided support in many practical ways.
One of the local highlights is the implementation of the housing support project for war veterans and relatives of martyrs, as per Decision No. 311/QD-UBND dated February 11, 2025. A total of 48 households in the commune received support, including 27 newly built houses and 21 houses undergoing repairs. To date, all projects have been completed on schedule and to a high standard.

Mr. Ho Van Buoc, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ta Rut commune, recounted: “On the day of the handover of the new houses, the whole commune shared a common joy. Many elderly people who are beneficiaries of social policies clasped the hands of commune officials, emotionally expressing their gratitude for the care of the Party, the State, the Fatherland Front, and the local government in helping them have a solid and sturdy house.”
The movement not only reached policy beneficiaries but also spread strongly to poor and near-poor households, helping 192 households secure stable housing, including 166 newly built houses and 26 renovated houses.
In the remote villages of Ta Rut commune, the sounds of saws and hammers resound loudly. Some contribute their labor, others provide materials, and some bring bundles of rice or chickens to support each other's meals while building houses. The spirit of community solidarity, a long-standing characteristic of the ethnic minorities here, is further strengthened through this meaningful movement.
Another program that has left a deep impression is the housing support program implemented by the Ministry of Public Security . A total of 119 houses were approved for the entire commune, and 114 have been completed so far, achieving a completion rate of 95.8%.
During the house construction period, the image of police officers and villagers transporting bags of cement and tons of iron and steel up the slippery slope became a heartwarming story in the village. For the people in this border region, they are not only security forces, but also friends and sons of the village.
Mr. Ho Van Buoc, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ta Rut commune, said: “Police officers and soldiers helped build houses regardless of harsh weather conditions. This sincere bond between the military and the people has contributed to creating sturdy roofs and strong trust.”
In addition, the housing support project for poor and near-poor households under the National Target Program for Sustainable Poverty Reduction has also been implemented synchronously. Ta Rut is the locality with the highest number of beneficiary households, with 377 households. Even more impressive, all 377/377 households completed the project on schedule, a 100% figure that reflects the determination of the government, the efforts of the people, and the effectiveness of the policy in practice.
With new homes, many families have boldly invested in livestock farming, crop cultivation, and additional occupations. Children now have well-lit study areas, eliminating the need for books and notebooks to get soaked during the rainy season. The elderly and the sick can live in safer and more comfortable spaces.
Chairman of Ta Rut Commune People's Committee, Nguyen Si Huan, shared: "The changes in Ta Rut today are not only reflected in the wide roads or the rows of sturdy houses that have sprung up, but also deeply rooted in the spirit and mindset of each resident. Each new house, built from bricks and stones, through the hard work of the people and the enthusiastic support of the forces stationed in the area, has become a vivid symbol of human kindness and solidarity."
This collective effort has created a new Ta Rut, where people not only have better living conditions but also nurture aspirations to build a prosperous, beautiful, and peaceful homeland. This will be the foundation for the locality to continue its sustainable development in the coming years.”
