The year 2025 marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment and development of Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper - a newspaper closely associated with the lives of people, artists and the community through humane and powerful programs.

People's Artist Kim Cuong: "Crying when receiving the honor"

At the age of 88, People's Artist Kim Cuong still maintains her gentle, clear-headed and enthusiastic demeanor in volunteer work. When mentioning the "Lifetime Artist for the Community" Award presented by the Lao Dong Newspaper in 2022, her eyes welled up with tears: "I have received many awards in my life, but this one made me cry."

People's Artist Kim Cuong said she cried because she was moved, because she was honored not for her famous roles in plays, but for the quiet days of doing social work, which she considered "the greatest responsibility of her life". People's Artist Tra Giang: "Memories open from newspaper pages"

Honored as "Lifetime Artist for the Community" in 2024, People's Artist Tra Giang - a symbol of Vietnamese revolutionary cinema - said she "feels young again".

"When I received this good news, I was sick and could not attend the honor night. In the space of the ceremony before some categories of the Mai Vang Award, my youth seemed to return to me, through the memories of the days of filming in the middle of the battlefield, living with the character as if living true to the ideal" - People's Artist Tra Giang shared.

For People's Artist Tra Giang, the recognition from the Newspaper Nguoi Lao Dong is like a big bouquet of flowers that the profession sent to her on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and the reunification of the country. "Many great memories in 2025 and the Newspaper Nguoi Lao Dong's 50th anniversary is a turning point for the whole country to enter a new era" - she acknowledged.

People's Artist Le Thuy: "Soulmate on the journey of sowing love"

As the only artist to be honored twice by Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper with the "Lifetime Artist for the Community" Award in 2023 and the Mai Vang Award "30 Years of Achievement" in 2025, People's Artist Le Thuy affirmed: "Mai Vang is fate, Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper is love".

After more than 50 years on the cai luong stage, People's Artist Le Thuy and People's Artist Minh Vuong founded the Golden Stage, bringing ticketed performances to raise funds to build charity houses for the poor. She recalled: "There was a night in the West, it was pouring rain, the audience still sat on boats listening to cai luong. Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper accompanied me, recorded it with pictures and words, and most importantly, with companionship so that the dream of love could spread further."

People's Artist Le Thuy considers the award presented by Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper as a meaningful gift certifying her thorny but kind artistic path. "Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper organizes the 30th Golden Apricot Award to remind artists not only to sing well and act well but also to live a useful life for society" - she commented.

People's Artist Minh Vuong: "Like having wings"

The artist with a sweet, soulful voice, once known as "Khoi Nguyen vong co" could not hide his emotions when receiving the Mai Vang Award "30 years of achievements" in 2024.

People's Artist Minh Vuong confided: "I did not think I would be honored to receive the happiness that the Lao Dong Newspaper has given me. Since the 1990s, I have been involved in many activities behind the newspaper organized by the Lao Dong. I remember the trips to give gifts to people in flood-hit areas, and then to workers in export processing zones... When People's Artist Le Thuy and I founded the Golden Stage, the newspaper always supported information so that each performance's revenue would contribute to building charity houses for the poor. The newspaper's programs "Mai Vang Nhan Ai" and "Mai Vang Tri An" are great encouragement for artists across the country."

People's Artist Minh Vuong and People's Artist Le Thuy have been acting partners for five decades, from classic plays to charity shows. The two have been on stage together and on the journey of passing on their skills to the younger generation. "We stage plays, pass on our experiences to the younger generation of actors, and then perform the plays to help the world.
