Lam Dong: Many households relocated from the foot of the pine hill affected by landslides.

On December 12th, the People's Committee of Hiep Thanh commune, Lam Dong province, relocated many households in Quang Hiep village to a safe area due to serious landslides in the pine hill area of ​​plot 5, sub-area 277B, which is under the management of the Duc Trong Protective Forest Management Board.

It is known that people have been living and building houses in this area for many years. The situation of hillside landslides has become serious, especially since the rainy season of 2024. After the rains in early December 2025, the landslides in the area have become even more severe.

Continuous landslides on pine hills threaten the residential area of ​​Quang Hiep village, Hiep Thanh commune, Lam Dong province.

On the embankment, soil and rocks are continuously sliding down close to residential areas. In some cases, houses have been affected by landslides, with debris encroaching on the back of the houses and causing partial collapse of the structures. The area showing signs of landslides covers approximately 1.7 hectares (mostly degraded forest land and barren land).

Trees and rocks from the forest have slid down, encroaching on people's houses.

Local authorities have put up warning signs about the risk of landslides to keep people away from the dangerous area.

Due to the high risk of landslides, the People's Committee of Hiep Thanh commune has drawn up a report and issued a decision to enforce the removal of the landslide, while also sealing off the entire area at risk of landslides to prevent people from returning.
