First time organizing the race 'Women run in response for a smoke-free environment'

On October 19, at Thong Nhat Park (Hanoi), Vietnam Women's Newspaper coordinated with the Tobacco Harm Prevention Fund, Ministry of Health, to organize the race "Women Run in Response to a Smoke-Free Environment".

The race is part of a series of events celebrating the 95th anniversary of the Vietnam Women's Union (1930 - 2025) and Vietnamese Women's Day October 20. This is one of three outstanding activities between the Vietnam Women's Newspaper and the Tobacco Harm Prevention Fund ( Ministry of Health ) implemented in 2025 to join hands in preventing the harmful effects of tobacco.

The event "Women Run for a Smoke-Free Environment" aims to encourage the building of a healthy lifestyle, a smoke-free living and working environment, protecting the health of families and communities, especially women and children.

The “Women for a smoke-free environment” race has brought an exciting playground, where each step carries the message of “For the health of women, children, and for a smoke-free community”. With a distance of 1 lap around Bay Mau Lake (equivalent to about 2.5 km), the race is not only a physical challenge, but also an opportunity for athletes to receive many attractive prizes.

The race attracted more than 1,000 athletes to participate. Coming to the race, athletes had the opportunity to practice physical strength, athletes and stride with famous people: Miss Photo Vu Huong Giang, Miss Phan Hoang Thu, Miss Crescent Moon Beauty Be Thi Bang, actress Thanh Huong, actress Minh Cuc, actress Quach Thu Phuong, actress Yen My, singer Viet Son, singer Mai Dieu Ly, singer - MC Bui Phuc Anh, director Huy Lio and many other artists...

After the tense moments, the Organizing Committee determined 2 first prizes (each prize is a Casper air conditioner worth nearly 8 million VND); 2 second prizes (each prize is a Casper TV, worth nearly 5.7 million VND) and 2 third prizes (each prize is a watch worth 5 million VND). Accordingly, surpassing thousands of participants, athletes Nguyen Thi Trang and Nguyen Duc Thanh won first prize; athletes Nguyen Thi Huong and Dang Duc Truong won second prize and athletes Truong Thi Hoa and Dang Ninh Huynh won third prize.
