Spreading good examples for young people

On the evening of December 6, the Youth Cultural House, the Vietnam Student Association of Ho Chi Minh City and the Student Support Center of Ho Chi Minh City organized the 2024 Valedictorian Honors Program.

In 2024, the "Honoring Valedictorians" program selected and honored 88 valedictorians. Of these, 43 valedictorians were admitted to Universities, Colleges, Academies, and Junior Colleges with excellent academic achievements, all achieving admission scores of 26 points or higher (24 points or higher for college students), many of whom achieved high results in excellent student exams, Olympic exams at all levels; were outstanding students, 3-good students of the school and the city, or actively participated in Youth Union activities. And 45 valedictorians graduated with many outstanding achievements.

Valedictorians received certificates of merit.

Speaking at the program, Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong, Head of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee, praised the achievements of the valedictorians. This is not only the result of the persistent efforts and training of each valedictorian, but also the care of family, school and society; the constant attention and nurturing of the entire city's political system.

Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong hopes that each graduating valedictorian will have suitable choices on their path to self-development and career, continue to cultivate virtue, train talent, develop themselves in all aspects, and contribute their efforts to building the country and the city.

It is known that this is the 11th consecutive year that the Ho Chi Minh City Vietnamese Student Association and the Ho Chi Minh City Student Support Center have organized the program "Honoring Valedictorians". After 11 years of implementation, the program has honored 869 excellent new students and new bachelors. Of which, 427 were admitted valedictorians, 442 graduated valedictorians (164 students were classified as excellent, accounting for 37%).
