Agarwood tea from Quang Nam is a new product entering the market. This product is manufactured by Green Herbs Cooperative (Tam Hiep commune, Nui Thanh district).
According to Mr. Nguyen Van Trung, co-founder of the cooperative, drawing inspiration from medical literature and traditional remedies, they have created a line of Quang Nam agarwood tea products as a precious herbal remedy to protect users' health. The product includes agarwood powder, cordyceps mushrooms, Centella asiatica, red dates, etc.
After being available in the Quang Nam market since July, the product is now available in many southern provinces and cities such as Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Can Tho, etc.
“Agarwood is the pride of Quang Nam. I researched and combined traditional medical values with modern technology to create high-quality agarwood tea with beautiful packaging and labels, and especially with traceability. Through this, I strive to expand the market for the product,” said Mr. Trung.
Having their goods available at most Vietnamese trade fairs in the province, and participating in local specialty product sales channels, are methods many businesses and cooperatives use to gain market share.
Ms. Dang Thi Huong, Director of Huong Hue Thang Binh Cooperative, said that to meet consumer demand, it is necessary to understand people's needs regarding product usage, from price and design to product quality.
This allows them to produce suitable products that meet the needs of each market segment. To spread their goods throughout the market, the cooperative applies extensive marketing, introduction, and promotion strategies.
Dried pho noodles – a signature product of Huong Hue Thang Binh Cooperative – were recently recognized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade as a typical rural industrial product in the Central and Central Highlands regions in 2024. Made from 100% white rice, the dried pho noodles absolutely do not use borax or chemicals for bleaching, ensuring the noodles are always chewy, firm, and delicious.
Huong Hue dried pho noodles have earned the trust of consumers thanks to their quality and reasonable prices. The production process, from raw materials to packaging, is strictly controlled, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.

This year, 2024, marks the 15th anniversary of the Politburo 's launch of the "Vietnamese People Prioritize Using Vietnamese Goods" campaign. The widespread implementation of this campaign by relevant agencies throughout the province has transformed the consumer awareness of Quang Nam residents. Currently, Vietnamese goods account for 80-90% in modern distribution channels and over 60% in traditional retail channels, demonstrating the widespread acceptance of Vietnamese products among Quang Nam consumers.
Many locals say that they used to habitually choose imported goods, from household appliances and fashion items to various types of machinery and equipment. In recent years, however, they have noticed improvements in the designs, quality, and affordability of goods from Quang Nam province and other domestic products, leading them to confidently choose them.
Over the past period, localities in the province have actively introduced and supported cooperatives and businesses to participate in trade programs, connect supply and demand, and promote and sell goods.
In Thang Binh district, for example, the district's industry and trade sector has intensified its efforts to support businesses, cooperatives, and production facilities in accessing district and provincial industrial promotion funds to invest in advanced machinery and equipment, thereby improving productivity, output, and product quality.
Mr. Vo Van Hung, Chairman of the Thang Binh District People's Committee, said that the locality will continue to support producers of OCOP products and rural industrial goods to expand their scale, open up markets, and improve economic efficiency.
A key focus in implementing the "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" campaign in the district is expanding and further encouraging businesses and cooperatives to link up to create production, processing, and consumption chains for goods.
Mr. Le Vu Thuong, Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, said that the unit will continue to support cooperatives and production facilities in building product brands; and support the introduction of products on e-commerce platforms. The relevant authorities will protect the domestic goods distribution market; build and protect product brands, and protect consumer rights.
According to Mr. Thuong, supermarkets and convenience stores need to regularly organize promotional programs and customer appreciation events to attract consumers to prioritize using Vietnamese products.
According to Le Tri Thanh, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Nam province, to continue promoting and developing the achievements of the "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" campaign, the provincial Fatherland Front coordinates with departments, agencies, associations, and organizations to link the campaign with patriotic emulation movements; promote and bring Quang Nam goods to rural areas; widely introduce characteristic products and OCOP products; and monitor and detect violations regarding the quality of goods and services to protect consumers.
