In 2023, the total export value of goods from Lam Dong province to the Dutch market reached 9.86 million USD; the total value of imported goods from the Netherlands to Lam Dong province reached 34.96 million USD.
In the first 7 months of 2024, the total export value of goods from Lam Dong province to the Netherlands market reached 9.96 million USD (doubled compared to 2023); the total value of imported goods from the Netherlands to Lam Dong province reached 51.20 million USD (1.5 times higher than in 2023); Currently, the Netherlands is Vietnam's largest export market in Europe. According to statistics, there are 03 projects of Dutch investors in the province with a total registered capital of 491 billion VND.
In addition, there are 3 projects of Dalat Hasfarm Company Limited invested in Da Lat city, Don Duong and Lam Ha districts, with a total investment capital of 2,973 billion VND. In addition, there is also a Dutch investor registered to contribute capital to the enterprise with a capital contribution of 16.53 billion VND, accounting for 100% of the charter capital... In the agricultural sector, import companies in Lam Dong often import flower varieties from the Netherlands with an average quantity of 30 million to 40 million bulbs, plants, shoots, seeds annually...
Regarding tourism , Lam Dong is a locality that is very popular with Dutch tourists, the Dutch market is one of the 10 international tourist markets to Lam Dong province in recent times. However, the number of Dutch tourists to Lam Dong is still not much, in 2023, there were 7,040 Dutch tourists to Lam Dong, accounting for only 1.76% of the total number of international tourists.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham S mentioned a number of key issues to develop cooperation between the province and the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the coming time, focusing on flower varieties, greenhouse management, tourism and culture when organizing flower festivals in Da Lat.
At the same time, he invited Dutch investors to continue investing in Lam Dong, trading and exchanging activities related to advanced models of high-tech agriculture.
