Lao Cai organizes the "Fire Prevention and Fighting Safety Inter-family Group" Contest for the period 2025-2027

Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee has just issued Plan No. 49/KH-UBND dated August 12, 2025 on organizing a Competition on Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue for the "Fire Prevention and Fighting Safety Inter-family Group" for the period 2025-2027.

Accordingly, the competition is organized at two levels: commune level and provincial level. Each commune-level unit establishes a competition team of 11 people, including 1 leader of the commune People's Committee, 1 commander of the commune Police and members of the inter-family groups.

Police guide people to use fire extinguishers.

The teams will go through 2 parts of the competition: theory - answering questions about knowledge of fire prevention, fire fighting (PCCC) and rescue (CNCH); practice fire fighting, rescuing people and moving property for the type of house combined with production and business.

According to the plan, the 2025 contest is expected to be completed before October 15; 2026 and 2027 contests are expected to be completed before May 15 every year.

The contest aims to supplement knowledge and skills in handling fire and explosion situations, rescuing people and property for members of the "Fire and explosion safety inter-family team", helping the activities of the teams become more practical; effectively promote the "four on-site" motto in handling fire and explosion situations occurring in residential areas; promote the movement of the entire population participating in fire prevention and fighting and rescue, and at the same time create opportunities for officers, soldiers and people to exchange experiences and share knowledge.

The movement "My house has a fire extinguisher" received enthusiastic response from the people.

Through the contest, the quality and effectiveness of the "Fire Prevention and Fighting Safety Inter-family Group" model will be evaluated to continue to be replicated in the province; the sense of responsibility of leaders of Party committees at all levels, local authorities and people for fire prevention and fighting and search and rescue work will be promoted; creating a strong change in the awareness of the whole society in fire prevention, fighting and rescue work.
