The rice pounding festival of the Tay people in Chiem Hoa is recognized as a national intangible cultural heritage.

- At Trung Ha commune, the People's Committee of Chiem Hoa district has just held a ceremony to receive the Decision to certify the Com Pounding Festival of the Tay people in Chiem Hoa as a national intangible cultural heritage.

Leaders of Chiem Hoa district awarded the Decision to certify the Com Pounding Festival of the Tay people in Chiem Hoa.

Com pounding festival (Tam khau mau) of the Tay ethnic group in Chiem Hoa in general and Trung Ha commune in particular. This is a traditional festival after each rice harvest, expressing the gratitude of the people to the land and sky for giving good crops, a prosperous and happy life. The festival is held annually in the 9th and 10th lunar months, to express gratitude to the Jade Emperor and the gods for giving all people good crops and a prosperous and happy life.

Within the framework of the program, the People's Committee of Trung Ha commune organized the 2025 Ethnic Culture Festival. The festival with the participation of 18 villages in the commune included activities: Countryside fair; traditional food display contest; skillful handcraft contest; mass art festival; sports exchange and competition and organizing an art night to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and national reunification.
