Located about 180km from Hanoi, Moc Chau district, Son La province has about 1,300 hectares of plum. From late January to mid-February every year is the plum blossom season, attracting tourists from all over to come to sightsee, take photos and camp.

The characteristic flower of Moc Chau plateau resembles apricot blossoms, but is larger, with a pure white color and delicate yellow stamens.

The plum blossom season arrives when winter has just ended, spring is approaching, and the weather becomes a little warmer.

Plum valley in Moc Chau blooms with fragrance, creating a majestic and beautiful natural landscape.

This place has become a tourist destination attracting thousands of visitors who come to sightsee and take photos every day.

According to Nguyen Viet, one of the most sought-after photographers in Moc Chau, the influx of tourists admiring the flowers at this time of year has led to a shortage of photographers. "Tourists usually have to book appointments several days in advance so photographers can arrange their schedules. On weekends, I can earn 4-4.5 million VND per day from taking and editing photos for tourists," Viet said.

"Because plum blossoms only bloom for a short time, my family usually makes time to travel to Moc Chau every year. The scenery in Moc Chau during the plum blossom season is very beautiful, giving me a peaceful and relaxing feeling, far different from the city," a female tourist shared.

No need for fancy poses, just standing next to this flower is enough to get a beautiful photo.
