By the morning of July 20th, the search and rescue forces of the Brigade had successfully completed their mission and returned to the anchorage area to continue preparing for storm prevention and control.

In response to the rapid and complex developments of Typhoon No. 3 (Wipha), and in compliance with the orders of the Commander of Naval Region 1, Brigade 170 organized training and briefings for officers and soldiers; constantly monitored and kept a close watch on the typhoon's developments; strictly maintained the duty roster and 100% of personnel on standby; and promptly deployed plans, forces, and equipment, providing sufficient supplies and materials to agencies and units to effectively carry out typhoon prevention and control work in two directions:
Heading towards the shore, they quickly focused on directing the securing and reinforcement of structures, warehouses, and barracks, and trimming tree branches; mobilizing 120 officers and soldiers divided into teams ready for deployment in disaster prevention, search and rescue operations in the area where they were stationed; preparing 1 command vehicle, 2 troop transport buses, 2 trucks, and 1 ambulance ready for deployment to perform their duties.
Heading out to sea, the organization implemented a plan and directed 15 ships and 2 boats to move to safe anchorage areas to avoid storms, ensuring safety, securing and reinforcing anchorage positions; and made thorough preparations for readiness to mobilize in case of emergencies and to carry out search and rescue missions.
