* What are your predictions regarding the university entrance exam cutoff scores this year?
- This year, the high school graduation exam scores of some subjects have changed a lot compared to 2024. The average score for Math decreased by more than 1.5 points; Chemistry decreased by 0.6 points, and Biology also decreased similarly.
Based on the distribution of scores in this year's high school graduation exam, we predict that the cut-off scores for many majors and universities will likely decrease slightly. For example, for admission combinations such as A00, B00, or D01 – which are heavily related to Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and English – we predict a decrease in cut-off scores of 0.5 to 1.5 points.
Parents and candidates need to distinguish between the benchmark score and the “floor score”. The floor score is the threshold to ensure input quality - a necessary condition for candidates to be able to register for admission. That is, only when reaching the equivalent floor score will candidates be considered for admission to the industry or school.

* According to you, what should candidates pay attention to when training institutions apply equivalent score conversion?
- 2025 will be the first year that the Ministry of Education and Training applies the equivalent score conversion, especially the conversion of admission scores. The equivalent score conversion between different admission methods will be specifically announced by Phenikaa University on its official communication channels. Candidates should follow these channels to understand how scores are calculated and compare their chances of admission across different methods.
With the new points mentioned above, candidates should note: Refer to the admission benchmark scores in previous years of the majors/universities they intend to apply for. In particular, candidates need to research how to convert equivalent scores of the schools.
Currently, the Ministry of Education and Training has guidelines on the content of equivalent score conversion so that higher education institutions have a basis to build appropriate conversion formulas. Candidates should base on the official information of the schools published on the website to have a basis to register appropriate admission wishes.

* From the new points in this year's enrollment work, do you have any special notes for candidates at this time?
- Currently, the Ministry of Education and Training's General Admissions Support System (the System) is open for candidates to register their admission preferences (until 5:00 PM on July 28, 2025). The first thing candidates must pay attention to is the deadline for registering their preferences on the System.
During this period, students can change and adjust their wishes an unlimited number of times. This is a crucial stage, requiring careful consideration of the industry, school and career orientation to suit personal capacity and labor market trends.

Candidates also need to pay attention to the admission regulations of the schools; including regulations on minimum scores and additional criteria. In addition, candidates must constantly update admission information, high school graduation exam score distribution, capacity assessment, thinking assessment, etc.
In particular, for specific majors such as Health, Law... the updated score distribution and official announcement from the Ministry of Education and Training (expected to be announced on July 21) is important information for candidates to make appropriate choices.
Thank you, sir!
