On July 3rd, striker Diogo Jota passed away after a traffic accident in Spain. His death has left the football world deeply saddened. Among those mourning is Cristiano Ronaldo, who paid tribute to his unfortunate teammate with a touching message.

However, C.Ronaldo was not present at Diogo Jota's funeral. He only paid his respects yesterday and did not appear at the farewell ceremony for his close friend and teammate.
Many of Diogo Dalot's teammates, including Bruno Fernandes, Bernardo Silva, and Virgil van Dijk, attended the funeral. Even his close friends, Joao Cancelo and Ruben Neves, flew back to Portugal from the US (having just finished their FIFA Club World Cup quarter-final match against Al Hilal) to say goodbye to their friend.
According to sources from the Mirror, Cristiano Ronaldo carefully considered the potential consequences of his appearance at Diogo Jota's funeral. His presence could attract attention, cause a commotion, and disrupt the farewell ceremony for his teammate.

Meanwhile, Portuguese journalist Antonio Ribeiro Cristovao said: “He was the captain of the Portuguese national team. Many people hoped that C. Ronaldo would appear at Diogo Jota’s funeral.”
If Cristiano Ronaldo doesn't attend, there must be a reason. He has a responsibility to this event. He is the captain of the Portuguese national team.”
Regardless, Cristiano Ronaldo's absence from Diogo Jota's funeral has sparked much controversy. Fans are awaiting an explanation from CR7.
