Albiriox has been dubbed the new "security nightmare" on smartphones by the online community. According to the latest security report from Cleafy, this malware can take over a device without needing an OTP or clicking on suspicious links.
It uses a RAT mechanism, allowing hackers to remotely manipulate the phone as if they were holding it in their hand. A Russian-speaking cybercrime group is behind the attacks affecting more than 400 financial apps.
Albiriox is also available as a service, with a rental price of just $650 per month. The method of distribution is often through fake applications related to security or investment. Users are advised not to download unfamiliar apps and to always enable two-factor authentication (2FA).
Experts emphasize the need for regular virus scans to protect property from this risk. Readers are invited to watch the following video : Online kidnapping scam scenario that "manipulates the psychology" of many victims | VTV24
