Singer Mai Nguyen Anh, born in 1999, comes from a family with a tradition in the arts. From a young age, she accompanied her mother, Meritorious Artist Huong Giang, to many artistic activities. Later, she studied vocal music at the Military University of Culture and Arts. After graduation, she worked at the Military Region 2 Art Troupe.
Possessing a wide baritone voice with a husky undertone, a clear rock quality, rich vocal range, captivating and expressive light music breath, refined singing style, and confident demeanor, Mai Nguyen Anh has been selected to participate in many major art programs both domestically and internationally within the military.
On November 23rd, according to the results announced by the organizers of the Hanoi Good Voice 2024 competition, contestant Mai Nguyen Anh from the Military Region 2 Performing Arts Troupe successfully surpassed hundreds of other contestants to make it into the TOP 12 of the final round of "Hanoi Good Voice 2024".
With the theme "Hanoi - A Heart of Pink," the "Hanoi's Best Voice 2024" competition not only celebrates the elegant beauty of Hanoi but also portrays the love and pride in the cultural and artistic traditions that the capital has preserved throughout thousands of years of history.
According to the organizers, this year's competition attracted more than 450 contestants aged 16-35, currently living, working, or studying in Hanoi, as well as some contestants who had won high prizes in vocal competitions in several provinces and cities.

The competition consists of three rounds: preliminary, semi-final, and final. In the preliminary round, contestants will sing their registered songs a cappella without any musical accompaniment, thereby clearly showcasing their vocal talent, style, and musical personality in the most authentic way.
The organizers will select the 60 best contestants to continue competing in the semi-finals, where they will be supported by a professional orchestra.
With the song "SOS," a composition by Bui Caroon, contestant Mai Nguyen Anh delivered an outstanding performance that was highly praised by the organizers in the light music genre, officially securing her place among the 12 most prominent voices to advance to the final round. The final night will be held at the Hanoi Opera House at 8 PM on November 28th and will be broadcast live on VTV2.
Regarding the prize structure, the program will award first, second, and third prizes for three main music genres: classical, folk, and pop, along with supplementary prizes such as: "Best Singer of Songs about Hanoi" and "Most Popular Contestant as voted by the audience".
Many star singers rose to prominence from the "Hanoi's Best Voice" competition, such as People's Artist Tan Minh, Hong Nhung, My Linh, Meritorious Artist Dang Duong, Meritorious Artist Viet Hoan, Tung Duong, etc.
