The Ho Chi Minh City Front announces decisions on organizational restructuring and personnel matters.

On the afternoon of February 28th, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City held a ceremony to announce the decision on reorganizing its structure and personnel. This activity aims to implement the Party's regulations and the Central and City Party Committee's policies on continuing to innovate and reorganize the political system's structure to be streamlined, effective, and efficient.

According to Decision No. 2501-QD/TU of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Ho Chi Minh City ceased operations on February 28, 2025. The Party Committee of the City's Party Agencies issued Decision No. 09-QD/DU establishing the Party Committee of the City's Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, comprising 38 Party members; the Standing Committee of the Party Committee consists of 3 members; including Mr. Nguyen Thanh Trung - City Party Committee member, Standing Committee member of the Party Committee of the City's Party Agencies, Permanent Vice Chairman, and Head of the City's Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, serving as Secretary of the Party Committee; Mr. Pham Minh Tuan - Vice Chairman of the City's Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, serving as Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee; and Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Thuy - Vice Chairman of the City's Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, and Chairwoman of the Agency's Trade Union, serving as a member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee.

The following individuals are members of the Party Committee: Mr. Ngo Thanh Son, Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Huong, Ms. Duong Thi Huyen Tram, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Viet, Mr. Thach Nghi Xuan, and Ms. Le Nguyen Hong Quang. The Party Committee's Inspection Committee is appointed with 3 members, including: Mr. Pham Minh Tuan - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city, serving as Chairman; and two members: Mr. Nguyen Quoc Viet, Party Committee member, Standing Committee member, Head of the Organization Department of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city; and Mr. Tran Huu Nghia, Deputy Head of the Democracy and Law Department, Head of the People's Inspection Department of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city.

The conference also announced the decision to establish the Propaganda and Social Mobilization Committee by merging the Propaganda and Foreign Affairs Committee and the Movement Committee, transferring foreign affairs work to the Office, and transferring work related to Vietnamese people abroad to the Ethnic and Religious Affairs Committee.

Following the reorganization, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city now has five departments: the Propaganda and Social Mobilization Department, the Organization Department, the Democracy and Law Department, the Ethnic and Religious Affairs Department, and the Office.

The Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city appointed Ms. Duong Thi Huyen Tram - Standing Committee Member, Head of the Movement Department - to the position of Head of the Propaganda and Social Mobilization Department; appointed Mr. Nguyen Thai Binh - Deputy Head of the Movement Department - to the position of Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Social Mobilization Department; and appointed Ms. Cao Thi Thu Duyen - Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Foreign Affairs Department - to the position of Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Social Mobilization Department.

At the Conference, the City Front informed about the specific assignment of tasks to the Chairpersons, Vice-Chairpersons, and Standing Committee members; announced the decision to transfer Mr. Chau Trong Nam - specialist from the Propaganda and Foreign Affairs Department - to work at the Office, Mr. Doan Huu Minh to work at the Organization Department, and Ms. Huyen Ton Nu Diem My to work at the Propaganda and Social Mobilization Department; specific tasks will be assigned by the Heads of Departments and the Chief of the Office.

According to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, the agency is continuing to advise on the implementation of the policy to streamline the Vietnam Fatherland Front system at all levels in the city, in accordance with the policies and directions of the Central Committee and the City Party Committee.
