On the evening of July 30th, the National Costume segment of the Miss Grand Vietnam 2024 competition officially took place in Phan Thiet ( Binh Thuan province ). Among the highlights, images of the "Trung Vuong" costume performance suddenly attracted the attention of the beauty pageant community.
Besides the praise for the elaborate and spectacular stage design of the National Costume competition and the captivating performances of the contestants, there were also many conflicting opinions surrounding the information about the "Trung Vuong" costume performance. One article frankly stated that the information about the "Trung Vuong" costume performance was "mistaken," as the program's MC introduced the costume as being inspired by the Trung Sisters, but the background music was a quote from Lady Trieu.

Miss Grand Vietnam 2024 mistakenly announced the information about the "Trung Vuong" costume performance, the Organizing Committee apologized.
Speaking to a reporter from Dan Viet , a representative of the Miss Grand Vietnam organizing committee apologized for the misinformation regarding the "Trung Vuong" costume design by designer Nguyen Huy Hoang, a contestant in the National Costume competition.
"Right during the contestant's segment, the Miss Grand Vietnam organizing committee immediately noticed the historical error. However, because the program was being broadcast, we couldn't address it immediately. Right after the segment, we paused the broadcast and cut out the part with the error," the Miss Grand Vietnam organizing committee shared.

A representative from the Miss Grand Vietnam organizing committee stated that during the dress rehearsal on the evening of July 29th, the quote from Lady Trieu was not used in the performance. "The organizing committee did not approve the addition of background music featuring Lady Trieu's quote that the designer intended to include for the competition on the evening of July 30th. However, the technical staff mistakenly used an audio file that had not been approved by the organizing committee."
"More than anyone else, the Miss Grand Vietnam organizing committee takes full responsibility for the mistake and extends its sincere apologies to the audience. We hope the audience will overlook this unfortunate error and continue to enjoy the National Costume competition, showcasing the hard work of young designers and their efforts to convey the traditional culture of the Vietnamese people. We sincerely appreciate the feedback from the audience and hope for your understanding," a representative of the Miss Grand Vietnam organizing committee stated.

The new Miss Grand Vietnam 2024 will represent Vietnam at the Miss Grand International 2024 competition, which will be held in Vietnam in October of this year.
