Mong Cai effectively performs key tasks

To fulfill the targets set forth in the Resolution of the XXIV Congress of the City Party Committee, Mong Cai has implemented many effective solutions to carry out key tasks.

The city continues to innovate its methods and enhance the leadership capacity and fighting strength of Party committees and organizations at all levels. The city's Party committee focuses on leading, directing, and organizing the implementation of reforms and restructuring the political system's organizational apparatus to be streamlined, effective, and efficient. The city has merged 4 Party branches under grassroots Party committees; established 8 new Party branches at health stations; established military Party branches in all 17 communes and wards; transferred 3 grassroots Party branches to the management of central-level Party committees; and admitted 857 new Party members.

The city is committed to expanding and enhancing the effectiveness of foreign relations, contributing to building a peaceful, friendly, stable, and cooperative border region; coordinating with the Party Committee and government of Dongxing City and Fangcheng District (China) to strengthen foreign relations and comprehensive cooperation in various fields in accordance with the spirit of the Vietnam-China Joint Statement; and taking many initiatives in the agreements signed between the two countries, between Quang Ninh province, and Mong Cai city with provinces and cities of China.

The city focuses on fostering aspirations for a prosperous and happy nation; promoting the strength and values ​​of Vietnamese people in the cause of national construction and defense, and international integration... The education sector has seen many positive changes with investments in school facilities and equipment; the quality of teaching and learning is constantly improving. The healthcare system continues to be strengthened, expanded, and developed; the quality of medical examination and treatment services is increasingly improved, contributing significantly to the improvement of public health indicators.

Tran Phu High School has been newly constructed and will be put into use from the 2024-2025 school year.

The city has implemented a comprehensive set of solutions to restore and develop advantageous service sectors, achieving positive results, especially in trade and tourism; mobilizing all resources to ensure social security, effectively implementing labor and employment policies, and policies for those who have rendered meritorious services; building a healthy living environment, and improving the quality of life for the people according to the criterion of "happiness". The average per capita income in the 9 new rural communes reached 74.8 million VND/year, an increase of 1.6 times compared to the 2015-2020 period. The rate of trained labor reached 87.2%. The city is strengthening state management in planning, urban development, land, resources, minerals, and environmental protection for sustainable development. The city is focusing on completing and implementing functional zoning plans under the General Planning Project for the Mong Cai Border Gate Economic Zone until 2040, approved by the Prime Minister, with a new strategic vision. This vision opens up a direction for the development of a modern urban space, effectively exploiting comparative advantages in geo-economic and political aspects associated with many key, driving projects.
