Some important notes regarding confirmation of admission and enrollment procedures at military schools in 2023.

The Military Admissions Board of the Ministry of National Defence has officially announced the admission cutoff scores for training at military academies and schools. To officially become a student at military schools, after being admitted, candidates need to pay attention to several points when confirming their admission and completing the enrollment procedures.

According to the Standing Agency of the Ministry of National Defense's Admissions and Recruitment Board: Candidates need to pay special attention to confirming their enrollment in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training , and simultaneously complete the enrollment procedures as prescribed by the military schools . Accordingly, after meeting the admission requirements, candidates are required to confirm their enrollment online through the Ministry of Education and Training's system from the time the cutoff scores are announced until before 5 PM on September 8, 2023. In addition, candidates must also prepare and complete the enrollment procedures as prescribed by the military school. Military academies and schools will organize the reception of admitted candidates for enrollment from September 9 to September 12; the specific schedule will be arranged by each school and announced in the admission notification sent to candidates. For example, at the Political Officer Training School, if a candidate does not confirm their enrollment as required by the Ministry of Education and Training, the school will not accept the candidate even if they meet all the admission criteria.

Colonel Dao Trong Huan, Deputy Head of the Training Department of the Political Officer Training School, further noted: The school only accepts candidates who meet the health standards and have the required documents as stipulated by the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Education and Training. Cases of falsified documents or complaints filed during this period will be forwarded to the relevant authorities for legal action. The school will also not accept candidates who are not members of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, lack valid documents, enroll late, or do not meet the health standards as stipulated by the Ministry of National Defense. The enrollment period for the Political Officer Training School is from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM on September 10, 2023. Immediately after successful candidates enroll, the Admissions Council of the Political Officer Training School will conduct a health check and post-examination verification in accordance with the university admission regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and the regulations of the Ministry of National Defense.

Candidates admitted to military schools must prepare a complete set of admission documents, including 12 types of documents : Original certificate of results from the 2023 High School Graduation Examination; original certificate of winning a student excellence award or IELTS certificate (for candidates applying for high school student excellence awards); original admission notice; original preliminary selection results notice; certificate of eligibility for priority consideration (one notarized copy and the original for verification); high school diploma (one notarized copy and the original for verification) or original temporary high school graduation certificate (for candidates graduating in 2023); high school transcript (one notarized copy and the original for verification); conscription order and military service record (for candidates outside the military); military personnel file, financial support document, military equipment book, and food allowance up to the end of September 2023 (for active military personnel); birth certificate (one notarized copy and the original for verification). Membership book (for Youth Union members) or Party membership file (for Party members); identity card or citizen identification card (one notarized copy and the original for verification) and two 4cm x 6cm photos to be affixed to the health check-up form.

In 2023, military schools used three admission methods: direct admission for outstanding national and international students; admission for outstanding high school students; and admission based on high school graduation exam results. The full admission cutoff scores are detailed on the People's Army Newspaper website at: www.qdnd.vn.

For university admissions to specialized military training programs (for military officers at the commune/ward level, militia, etc.), only the C00 subject group will be considered. Specifically: For the Army Officer School 1, the admission cutoff scores for candidates from different regions are as follows: Military Region 1 (15 points); Military Region 2 (15.5 points); Military Region 3 (21.25 points); Military Region 4 (15.75 points); Hanoi Capital Command (15.5 points). Similarly for the Army Officer School 2: Candidates from Military Region 5 (15 points); Military Region 7 (15.5 points, Literature score must be equal to or higher than 5.25 points); Military Region 9 (17.5 points, Literature score must be equal to or higher than 4.25 points).
