Therefore, the People's Army Cinema plans to launch script writing contests on the theme of revolutionary war and the image of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" in the new era to search for, nurture and build a source of quality scripts for this topic.

In addition, if there are valuable novels and literary works, rich in ideas and emotions, they can be considered for film adaptation. Of course, all works must be approved by the Art Council to evaluate their suitability and ability to be translated into film language. If they meet the requirements, we are ready to carry out the adaptation to enrich the film collection on the theme of revolutionary war and soldiers today.

Recently, “Red Rain” was selected by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to compete for the Oscar. When asked about this, Colonel Kieu Thanh Thuy confided: “This is truly a great joy for military cinema and the entire crew. The most important thing is to convey the spirit of the film: educating the tradition of patriotism, the spirit of fighting and sacrifice, the desire to live and the value of peace of the Vietnamese people. When the film was selected for the Oscar, we only hope that international friends will know more about Vietnamese history, understand more about the spirit of the Vietnamese people. The award is not the only goal, but the spreading of the message.”

About historical films, Regarding war films, Colonel Kieu Thanh Thuy believes: “The film “Red Rain” shows that today’s youth have great interest and pride in the nation’s history. Nothing is as powerful and intimate as the language of cinema.
