* At Tra Doc commune , at around 12 noon on October 26, a landslide occurred at the house of Mr. Ho Van Long (village 9), causing the bedroom to collapse and damaging many properties. The local authorities promptly provided support and evacuated the family to a safe place.

After several hours of heavy rain, rocks and soil from the slope behind the house suddenly collapsed, destroying the entire 12m2 bedroom of the family. Many household items and newly harvested rice were soaked in water and severely damaged. Fortunately, the incident did not cause any human casualties.
After receiving the news, local authorities and militia forces of Tra Doc commune quickly arrived at the scene, promptly supported and helped the family clean up, overcome the consequences and move to a safe place.
According to data from Tra My Hydrometeorological Station, as of 11am on October 26, the rainfall recorded in Tra My was 259.6mm. At the same time, Song Tranh 2 Hydropower Plant regulated flood discharge with a flow rate of about 10 - 1490m3 /s to ensure the safety of the reservoir.

In Tra Doc commune, there are 3 landslides on the DH route, 1 landslide in Lia water area (village 6) causing local isolation. In village 3, a landslide occurred on a section of the road on the Dong Truong Son route, causing danger to traffic.
Tra Doc commune authorities continue to monitor the heavy rain situation, proactively evacuating 141 households with more than 600 people in areas at risk of landslides to safe places, ensuring the safety of people's lives and property. (THUY VAN - XUAN TRUC)
* In Tra Tap commune , according to the Commune Civil Defense Command, heavy rain caused landslides at dozens of points on the main traffic route DH3, and inter-commune and inter-village routes were also cut off, temporarily disrupting travel between the commune center and villages 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5.

Some routes such as: the road from Choong water bridge to Tu Lung residential area (village 8), from Vu Xanh to Tu Chan village (village 3), National Highway 40B have been heavily eroded. It is expected to take a long time and require the mobilization of large motor vehicles to clear the blockage.
In residential areas, many landslides threaten nearly 30 houses. Village 1 and Village 5 alone have more than 25 households in high-risk areas, some of which have been temporarily evacuated to safety by the shock force.
Some public works were also affected, such as the kitchen of Lang Loan school (village 3) which collapsed behind, and rocks and soil filled the road leading to the residential area.
The Civil Defense Command of Tra Tap commune directed 24/7 duty at the commune headquarters, mobilized local forces to support the evacuation of people, and coordinated with construction units to temporarily handle minor landslides to soon clear the route. The locality requested 6 schools in the area to let students stay home on October 27 to ensure safety.

Tra Tap Commune authorities have stepped up propaganda and warned people not to cross rivers and streams, not to collect firewood or catch fish in floodwaters. At the same time, they have coordinated with Tra My Electricity to review and promptly handle the risk of landslides affecting the power system.

* In Tra Leng commune , heavy rain caused serious landslides on Highway DH1 through village 4, with an estimated volume of about 1,500m³ of rock and soil, completely cutting off traffic.

Road D1K8 and the road to village 3 (the Den Pin residential area) also suffered landslides, making it impossible for motorbikes to pass. Tra Leng commune (old) is currently temporarily isolated because all major routes are blocked.
Currently, the Leng River is rising and flowing rapidly, threatening the embankment of Tra Leng 2 Primary School (village 4) and the area at the head of Tra Don bridge. At the commune sports area, landslides have seriously damaged the embankment and the positive slope fence.
Faced with the complicated situation, the Tra Leng commune authorities have evacuated 51 households with 163 people in villages 1, 5 and 7 to a safe place. Tra Leng 1 Secondary School currently has 35 students who are required to stay and not go out to ensure safety.
The Civil Defense Command of Tra Leng Commune organized 24/7 on-duty and posted warning signs at landslide-prone areas. However, due to the remoteness of many areas, lack of phone signal, and traffic disruption, the work of gathering information and supporting people encountered many difficulties. (PHU THIEN)
* In Tra Linh commune , Chairman of the People's Committee Trinh Minh Hai said that as of 3:00 p.m. on October 26, the rain was still complicated, with some new landslides appearing on routes DH7, Tak Ngo - Mang Lung, Tak Vinh and National Highway 40B with an estimated volume of rock and soil of more than 5,000m³.

Notably, in Kon Pin village (village 2), the locality has organized the evacuation of 49 households with 206 people to a safe place; only Mr. Ho Van Khang's household was supported to dismantle the house and move all of its assets. The Commune People's Committee arranged temporary residence at the village cultural house and relatives' houses in the safe area. (PHU THIEN)
The People's Committee of Tra Linh commune proposed that the city and relevant agencies soon support a long-term resettlement plan for 29 severely affected households in village 2; at the same time, invest in a camera system and landslide warning system on the Tak Pong - Tak Ngo route, the area near Tra Linh Primary and Kindergarten, to ensure safety for students and residents.
* In Phuoc Thanh commune , by 12 noon on October 26, the locality had evacuated all households at risk of landslides to safe shelters.

Chairman of the People's Committee of Phuoc Thanh Commune, Do Hoai Xoan, said that the commune has 5 locations at high risk of landslides, flooding and insecurity, of which village 10 is the area with the highest risk of landslides.
On the morning of October 26, despite heavy rain cutting off the road from the commune to the village, from early morning, the shock troops of the commune and village gathered to bring 43 households, especially the elderly and children, to safe shelters.
"The commune has arranged 2 tons of rice and instant noodles for people to temporarily take shelter, and after the rain stops, they will return to their old village. The commune has assigned village officials and shock troops to be on duty 24/7 here, to prevent people from returning home during heavy rain and strong winds, which is unsafe," said Mr. Xoan.

Apart from village 10, by 12 noon on October 26, Phuoc Thanh commune had evacuated 10 households from village 4 to a safe place. In the remaining areas, people voluntarily moved to higher ground, interspersed with each other, to ensure safety in the face of prolonged heavy rain.

At Phuoc Loc Ethnic Boarding Primary and Secondary School, from the afternoon of October 24, the school allowed all boarding students and teachers to stay at school.
Teacher Tran Dinh Ngo, Principal of the school informed: "Learning from the experience of the 2020 storm season, the school had 4 students who, when going home for the weekend, unfortunately had a landslide and were swept away, so when there was information predicting storms and heavy rain, the school asked for the opinion of the Commune People's Committee and agreed to let the students stay for the weekend."
Teacher Ngo said that before that, the school had reserved 10 tons of rice, more than 100 boxes of instant noodles and dried food to serve students during the days of heavy rain.
According to incomplete statistics of Phuoc Thanh commune, in the area of 3 old communes: Phuoc Kim, Phuoc Loc, Phuoc Thanh there are more than 50 landslides, large and small. The road from Phuoc Chanh commune to Phuoc Thanh, from Phuoc Cong (old) to Phuoc Loc (old), the road from Phuoc Loc (old) to Phuoc Thanh are all completely cut off; the roads from the commune to the village are also partially cut off.

It is known that before storm No. 12, Phuoc Thanh commune transported 18 tons of rice to arrange at the headquarters of 3 old communes and storm shelters.
