According to the flood warning bulletin on Cau Chay River No. DBLU-38/15h30/THOA dated August 26, 2025 of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Hydrometeorological Station, at 7:00 p.m. on August 26, the water level on Cau Chay River at Xuan Vinh Hydrological Station was +9.8m (0.2m below alarm level III); the warning water level of Cau Chay River at Xuan Vinh Hydrological Station is likely to reach alarm level III (+10m) around 9-10 p.m. tonight.

The Provincial Civil Defense Command issued a third alert on Cau Chay River at Xuan Vinh hydrological station, requesting the Chairmen of the People's Committees of the communes: Tho Lap, Xuan Tin, Xuan Lap, Thieu Hoa, Thieu Tien, Thieu Quang, Yen Dinh, Yen Phu, Yen Ninh, Dinh Hoa to continue to deploy dike patrols and protection according to the alarm levels. Organize inspections, reviews and be ready to deploy plans to ensure the safety of dike works; especially key weak dike points and culverts across the dike in the area. Proactively deploy plans to evacuate people living in the riverbank area. Organize a 24/24 hour duty, closely monitor the development of rain and floods to be ready to handle situations from the first hour; promptly inform and report to the Provincial Disaster Prevention and Control Command Office and the Standing Office of the Provincial Civil Defense Command.
