September 10, completing preparations for the Launch Ceremony of the pilot operation of the Ban Gioc Waterfall (Vietnam) - Detian (China) cross-border tourist landscape area

On the morning of August 31, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Xuan Anh chaired a meeting on contents related to the implementation of the Cooperation Agreement on protection and exploitation of tourism resources of Ban Gioc Waterfall (Vietnam) - Duc Thien (China).

Attending were members of the Provincial Coordination Committee implementing the Agreement under Decision No. 477/QD-UBND and members of the Standing Office of the Provincial Coordination Committee implementing the Agreement under Decision No. 478/QD-UBND dated May 1, 2023 of the Provincial People's Committee; a number of relevant departments and branches.

The meeting approved the decision to establish the Organizing Committee and the Organizing Committee's Working Group for the Pilot Operation Ceremony for Tourists Crossing the Border between Ban Gioc Waterfall (Vietnam) - Duc Thien (China); the plan for the Launching Ceremony of the Pilot Operation of the Border Crossing the Border between Ban Gioc Waterfall (Vietnam) - Duc Thien (China). Accordingly, the launching ceremony will take place from 9:00 to 10:00 ( Hanoi time) on September 15, 2023 at the Crossing for Tourists at the checkpoint of Ban Gioc Waterfall (Vietnam) - Duc Thien (China).

At the meeting, delegates discussed the following contents: Preparation of personnel, facilities, infrastructure, security for the operation ceremony and the pilot implementation process; issuance of travel permits for visitors; procedures for opening the opening; propaganda and promotion work, especially propaganda for people to understand the benefits of the pilot for tourists to pass through the landscape area; ensuring environmental sanitation...

Concluding the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Xuan Anh affirmed: The launch of the pilot operation of the Ban Gioc Waterfall (Vietnam) - Duc Thien (China) cross-border tourist landscape area is of great significance, implementing the general direction and viewpoints and policies of the Party on foreign affairs, building a peaceful , friendly, cooperative and developed border; is a bright spot, an unprecedented model in cross-border economic cooperation, especially in the field of tourism.

The Department of Foreign Affairs is requested to accept and revise the launch ceremony plan; relevant departments, branches and forces urgently coordinate and arrange forces to ensure smooth operation; supplement and install decorative items, flags, banners, and signboards at rest stops and parking lots; check to ensure accuracy in form, organization method, and participants. The Provincial People's Committee Office shall report in writing to the central ministries and branches on the operating time and operation method of the landscape area on August 31, and by September 10, 2023, complete the preparation procedures for the Launching Ceremony of the pilot operation of the Ban Gioc Waterfall (Vietnam) - Duc Thien (China) cross-border tourist landscape area to ensure great success.
