“Food Festival – Delicious dishes from ostrich meat”

(NLĐO) - At Yang Bay Tourist Park (Khanh Hoa province), Khanh Viet Corporation organized the " Food Festival - Delicious Dishes from Ostrich Meat" with many unique dishes.

To celebrate Vietnamese Women's Day (October 20th), Khanh Viet Corporation (Khatoco) organized a "Culinary Festival - Delicious Dishes from Ostrich Meat" competition for its members and employees.

The program offers visitors a unique culinary experience featuring Khatoco ostrich meat as the main ingredient, a highly nutritious food that is becoming increasingly popular.

The "Culinary Festival - Delicious Dishes from Ostrich Meat" competition attracted the participation of 15 teams with 60 amateur chefs from Khatoco's affiliated units and partner organizations.

Ostrich meat is hailed as the "Clean Food of the 21st Century," offering numerous health benefits. According to a nutritional analysis report by the National Institute of Nutrition, 100g of ostrich meat contains 22.03g of protein, 0.52g of fat, and 26.02mg of cholesterol. Ostrich meat is low in fat, has a higher protein content than chicken, beef, and pork, and significantly lower cholesterol levels, helping to reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease, overweight, and obesity.

In addition, ostrich meat is rich in iron, which is very beneficial for pregnant women and people with anemia. Ostrich meat is also suitable for the elderly, helping to reduce the risk of chronic diseases and strengthen the body's immune system.

Within 90 minutes, each team of 4 members will prepare 3 dishes using Khatoco ostrich meat as the main ingredient, including ostrich fillet, thigh meat, ostrich stomach, ostrich wings, ostrich neck, ostrich heart, and ostrich toes.

The festival not only provides an exciting playground for competing teams to create new and nutritious dishes, but also offers visitors to Yang Bay Tourist Park the opportunity to discover unique flavors from this nutrient-rich ingredient. Visitors can enjoy delicious dishes made from ostrich meat, experience cooking with the competing teams, and create their own innovative dishes from ostrich meat.

At the end of the competition, the organizing committee awarded the first prize to Khatoco Packaging Printing Joint Stock Company; the second prize went to Khatoco Khanh Hoa Tobacco Factory; and the third prize went to Nha Trang Fruit and Vegetable Carving Club and Nha Trang Young Chefs Club.

In addition, the organizing committee also awarded 3 consolation prizes and 2 special prizes including the best presentation prize and the best decorated dish prize, with a total prize value of 40 million VND.

Khatoco ostrich meat is widely known for its high quality, superior nutritional value, and safe production practices.
