Nghe An: Highlights of August 6th

* The Social Insurance Department of Nghe An province has just issued a notice regarding the payment of pensions and social insurance benefits for August 2023. Accordingly, the payment of pensions, social insurance benefits, and allowances for August 2023 will be postponed to August 14th, instead of being paid at the beginning of the month as usual.

* Provincial Road 543, the Muong Xen-Ta Do-Khe Kien route, passing through Xop Tip village, Muong Tip commune (Ky Son district), experienced four major landslides following heavy rain on the night of August 5th. Numerous rocks, some 30-40 meters high, slid down, blocking the road and causing traffic congestion. Additionally, a landslide occurred on the banks of the Nam Non River in Yen Hoa village, My Ly commune, Ky Son district, posing a risk of collapsing houses.

* Long Son Market in Long Son commune, Anh Son district, was newly constructed with an investment of 11 billion VND and put into operation in 2019; however, the interior of the market hall and the rows of kiosks are currently abandoned.
