Ngo Hong Quang's new journey
All of these works were composed and arranged by Ngo Hong Quang in a contemporary musical style based on traditional materials, in which the performing role of the instruments is placed higher; the improvisation and personal creativity of the performing artist are emphasized.
In addition to his compositions, Ngo Hong Quang has re-arranged traditional folk music works in a new performance format; emphasizing the performance, rhythmic and improvisational ensemble of musical instruments with the spirit of preserving the quintessence of traditional music of the Northern Delta.
The live show was directed and produced by Ngo Hong Quang because of his love for traditional national music.
Ngo Hong Quang shares his joy and confidence in the market for the music he pursues - renewing traditional music - as recently his audience has become increasingly young.
Gathering young people who are students or have just graduated to form the Thien Thanh band is his new effort to contribute to sparking the national music environment, and also to mark a new journey when he chose to return to Vietnam to work and experience more about the musical life in his homeland after many years of traveling to other countries.
