On September 13th, Ha Long Pearl Joint Stock Company welcomed its first groups of visitors back to tour and experience the pearl farming industry in Ha Long. These groups arrived less than a week after Super Typhoon Yagi devastated two of the company's stores and pearl farming areas.

On the morning of September 13th, the My Ngoc store of Ha Long Pearl welcomed a large number of visitors who came to tour, experience, and shop.
An estimated 10 tour groups, totaling over 200 visitors, visited and shopped at the My Ngoc store of Ha Long Pearl Joint Stock Company in Don Dien area, Ha Khau ward (Ha Long City). The majority of visitors were from Europe, such as Spain and France. There were also a few visitors from Malaysia.
After being urgently repaired and restored by the company following the storm, visitors can still experience and learn about the entire process of pearl farming and cultivation: from nucleus implantation and pearl formation to the crafting of rough pearls into refined pearls, and shop for pearl products in Quang Ninh .

Tourists travel in small groups so that the tour guide can introduce them to the pearl farming process in Ha Long.
Ms. Mari Cruz, a Spanish tourist, shared: "I had heard about and learned about the process of cultivating oysters and implanting pearls. It's a very complex process that requires meticulousness and skill. I was very surprised that Ha Long has such beautiful jewelry products."
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hieu, a tour guide from Vietnam Viajes Company, said: "When I learned that the Ha Long Pearl Company's shops suffered heavy damage from the storm, we were quite worried. But when the group arrived, although the scenery and space still showed traces of the storm's impact, the environment was clean and airy. The quality of service was no different from before; from the tour guides to the company staff, everyone was very enthusiastic and attentive. Guests still got to experience the full process of the tourism product and they all enjoyed it very much."

Ha Long Pearl suffered heavy losses due to Typhoon Yagi: both of the company's pearl farms in Ha Long Bay were destroyed; both of the company's pearl processing, display, and sales stores in Ha Khau ward had their roofs blown off. The Le Pearl store suffered significant damage and had to temporarily close. Ha Long Pearl is currently serving customers at the My Ngoc store.
To ensure favorable conditions for welcoming customers, immediately after the storm, a team of over 100 officials, employees, and workers of Ha Long Pearl Joint Stock Company began cleaning up the environment, coordinating with partners to repair and renovate the My Ngoc store premises. With high determination and readiness to provide the best possible conditions for customers, the entire Ha Long Pearl Company operated at three times the normal capacity. Every day from 7 am to 11 pm, from the leadership to each employee, everyone worked diligently to clean and arrange the store, restoring production and business operations to normal.

Ms. Nguyen Thuy Huong, Director of Ha Long Pearl Joint Stock Company, said: "Next, we must quickly and efficiently open the remaining store to welcome tourists. Simultaneously, our entire production team must use all their experience and expertise to re-examine the entire supply of raw pearls and cultivated pearls to see what percentage remains. We must continue our plan to transport raw materials from Nha Trang and Phu Quoc to be ready for the new cultivation season. With the utmost dedication and determination, in line with the recovery of Ha Long Bay tourism after Typhoon Yagi, we strive to complete a portion of the pearl cultivation farm in Ha Long Bay by December 2024."

Welcoming the first groups of tourists is of great significance, marking the "miraculous" recovery of Ha Long Pearl Company right after the super typhoon, joining the determination and enthusiasm of the entire province in overcoming the consequences of Typhoon Yagi, stabilizing labor and production, and continuing to achieve the plans that the tourism industry in particular and Quang Ninh province in general have set for 2024. "After the rain comes sunshine," Quang Ninh tourism will certainly return to its track to reach the target of 19 million tourists in 2024.
