During the farewell party before returning to the US, Mr. David and his family gave hugs and the most sincere thanks to a special Vietnamese person who made this reunion a miracle.
That Vietnamese person is architect Do Hong Phuc (28 years old, living in Ho Chi Minh City), who connected with Thanh Nien Newspaper to spread the story of an American man, David Vuong Frey (50 years old) to find his biological family, after nearly half a century.
"Phuc has become a member of the family!"

CAO AN SIDE
Before that, last night, Mr. David and his Vietnamese family had an intimate farewell party at a restaurant in Binh Tan District, with a special guest, Mr. Do Hong Phuc, who helped Mr. David and his Vietnamese family reunite today. Upon meeting Mr. Phuc, Mrs. Catherine could not hide her emotion, approaching to give a hug as a heartfelt thank you, which she and her nephew had for the young architect with a kind heart. After the warm greetings, all family members started the party, chatting happily. It seemed that everyone cherished every minute, every second together because after tonight, Mr. David will temporarily end his reunion journey in Vietnam, returning to his daily life in San Diego City. Looking at Mr. Phuc with affection, Mr. David said that from the bottom of his heart, he did not know what to say other than thanking Mr. Do Hong Phuc, thanking Thanh Nien Newspaper for helping him on this journey.

CAO AN BIEN
To us, Phuc is now like a family member. It is a great joy and emotion to meet Phuc in person today to say thank you. You know, I have returned to Vietnam four times to find my mother, to find my family but with no results, but after Phuc's support, and the article was published in Thanh Nien newspaper, two hours later, I woke up from a sleep and a miracle happened...
Mr. David Vuong Frey, Vietnamese American
Will live in Vietnam, one day…
During his four trips back to Vietnam to find his roots, Mr. David said he felt like a tourist . But this time, he lived in his sister's family, reunited with his brothers, relatives, and relatives on both sides of the family, and he felt the wonderful love and affection of family. "During the past half month, perhaps the most memorable moment for me was when I hugged my brothers and sisters, hugged my relatives. People whose presence in this life I did not know existed a few months ago. Those hugs healed and filled my heart," he said. Listening to the sharing of Mr. David and his family, Mr. Do Hong Phuc could not hide his emotions. Starting the journey to find relatives completely free of charge, for him, the greatest reward is the emotional reunions like today. Witnessing everyone gathering together, Mr. Phuc's emotions are hard to describe in words.
The days of family reunion were the happiest days of Mr. David's life.
