According to the leaders of Nam Phuong Tien commune, Chuong My district, Hanoi , authorities have successfully rescued a man who parachuted and became entangled in a 110kV high-voltage power line.

The incident occurred at approximately 3 PM on November 9th, in a field in Nam Phuong Tien commune. At that time, a man parachuted from the top of Bu 833 hill in Nam Phuong Tien commune down into the field and residential area of ​​Nui Be hamlet in the same commune.

As he was preparing to land, his parachute became entangled in a 110kV high-voltage power line, leaving him suspended approximately 30 meters above the ground.

Immediately after the incident occurred, residents reported it to the authorities, who coordinated with the National Power System Dispatch Center (A0) to cut off the power to ensure safety while rescuing the victims.

The Northern Power Corporation mobilized approximately 10 officials and employees along with specialized equipment from Hoa Binh City to the scene to rescue the victims. The Fire and Rescue Police of Chuong My District were also dispatched to the scene.

At around 4 PM that same day, the parachute snapped, and the man fell to the ground – where tarpaulins and cushions had been laid out – so he was unharmed. After being rescued, his health was stable.

Nearly a month ago, authorities also successfully rescued a man who had parachuted and become entangled in power lines in Quang Tien commune, Hoa Binh city.

According to the victim's account, at around 12 PM on October 20th, he parachuted from a 650-meter-high hill in Quang Tien commune onto the flat ground below. However, as he was about to land, his parachute got caught in power lines, leaving him suspended in mid-air for about two hours.

In recent years, Bu Hill, also known as Parachute Jump Hill 833 in Chuong My, has become a popular camping, parachuting, and photo-taking spot. Located in Nui Be hamlet, Nam Phuong Tien commune, the hill lies between Chuong My district (Hanoi) and Luong Son district (Hoa Binh province), about 40km from the center of Hanoi, a journey of over an hour.
