Video : Man parachuting gets caught in 110kV power line
The leader of the People's Committee of Nam Phuong Tien commune, Chuong My district, Hanoi said that the authorities had just successfully rescued a parachuting man who got caught in a 110kV high-voltage line.
The incident occurred at around 3:00 p.m. on November 9, in a field in Nam Phuong Tien commune. At that time, the man parachuted from the top of Bu 833 hill, Nam Phuong Tien commune, to the field and residential area of Nui Be hamlet in the same commune.
When preparing to land, the parachute got caught on a 110kV high voltage power line, causing the person to hang about 30 meters above the ground.

Immediately after the incident, people reported to the authorities to coordinate with the National Power System Control Center (A0) to cut off the power to ensure safety while rescuing the victims.
The Northern Power Corporation mobilized about 10 officers, employees and specialized equipment from Hoa Binh City to the scene to rescue the victims. The Fire Prevention and Rescue Police of Chuong My District were also dispatched to the scene.
At around 4pm the same day, the parachute broke and the man fell to the ground where a tarpaulin and cushion had been placed, so he was not injured. After being rescued, his health was stable.
Nearly a month ago, authorities also successfully rescued a parachuting man who got entangled in an electric wire in Quang Tien commune, Hoa Binh city.
According to the victim, at around 12 noon on October 20, he parachuted from a 650m high hill in Quang Tien commune to the flat ground below. However, when he was about to land, the parachute got caught in a power line, leaving him hanging for about 2 hours.
In recent years, Bu Hill or 833 Chuong My parachute hill has become a camping, parachute jumping, and check-in location that attracts many people. The hill belongs to Nui Be hamlet, Nam Phuong Tien commune, located between Chuong My district (Hanoi) and Luong Son district (Hoa Binh), about 40km from the center of Hanoi, taking more than 1 hour to travel.
