The Ngoc Hoi Bridge and its approach roads, a key infrastructure project connecting Hanoi and Hung Yen, have officially commenced construction. With an estimated total investment of nearly 12,000 billion VND, this project plays a crucial role in completing the Ring Road 3.5, contributing to resolving traffic issues and promoting socio -economic development in the region.

Strategic role in transportation networks
The Ngoc Hoi Bridge is one of the 10 key transportation infrastructure projects of Hanoi City. The main objective of the project is to complete the planned Ring Road 3.5, creating a direct and seamless connection axis between the southern area of Hanoi and Hung Yen province. The project is expected to create a new, more efficient transportation corridor.

Solutions to reduce traffic congestion in the inner city.
Once operational, the Ngoc Hoi Bridge and its access roads will help redistribute traffic flow, especially vehicles traveling from the North and Northwest towards the Southeast of the city, without having to pass through the city center. This will contribute to reducing congestion on existing major routes such as Ring Road 3, Giai Phong Road (National Highway 1A), and Road 70. At the same time, the project will also help alleviate traffic on other bridges crossing the Red River, such as Chuong Duong, Vinh Tuy, Thang Long, and Nhat Tan bridges.

Size and specifications
The Ngoc Hoi bridge project and its approach roads have the following main technical specifications:
- Total estimated investment: 11,844 billion VND.
- Total length of the route: Approximately 7.5 km.
- Starting point: Connecting with Ring Road 3.5 (Phuc La - Van Phu section) to the Phap Van - Cau Gie expressway, located in Thanh Tri commune, Hanoi.
- End point: At Km7+500, connecting to Ring Road 3.5 towards the Hanoi - Hai Phong Expressway, located in Van Giang commune, Hung Yen province.

Land clearance items and work
According to the approved investment plan, the project is divided into two main groups: the land clearance project group and the construction investment project group.
The land clearance project group comprises 3 component projects, with a total investment of approximately 784 billion VND. This work will be carried out in the areas of 5 communes in Hanoi and Hung Yen, including:
- Hanoi: Thanh Tri Commune, Nam Phu Commune, Bat Trang Commune.
- Hung Yen: Phung Cong Commune, Van Giang District.
The completion of the project will not only improve transportation infrastructure but also serve as an important prerequisite for implementing the policy of population decentralization, reducing pressure on the central area, and promoting urbanization in suburban areas.
